More than 400 Subway restaurant franchise owners are protesting a $5 footlong sandwich deal scheduled to start in January and last for two months.
The group is concerned with financial losses the deal will bring their way. In a letter dated Dec. 6 the petitioners sent to Subway, the group cited five years of deals that have "decimated" their profits, according to The New York Post.

Jimmie johns...yuck....try the cold cut combo with only oil and vinegar, not mayo or mustard....its pretty darn good.
Now I know why corporate Subway didn’t get back with me after I was charged full price on a sub when it should have been the $4.99 everyday price, awhile back. Even though corporate and the franchisees are fighting, that’s still terrible customer service on their part. I refuse to go back to Subway.

the combo at subway is what I’m referring to....but ask for oil and vinegar instead of mayo/mustard..it makes a heck of a lot of difference..
Eating shit cheap food is not a good idea. I don’t care what chain anyone is talking about it how much it costs. Crap is crap.
I don’t eat at any of those places. We eat out about once a month. When we do it’s at a restaurant that is not a chain that modifies its menu based on what’s fresh in that time frame.
It is crazy that will argue that a shit sandwich is only acceptable at 4 or 5 or 6 dollars. If you eat out so much your price shopping on the mass production shit served by an illegal welfare rat with tats/piercing and Hep A/C and E. coli then it’s not the location that’s the problem. Have an apple with some peanut butter.
Just my opinion. Most food in restaurants is crazy bad.
The best I can say for Subway is they are not good but you can eat them. They are not so bad that you have to throw it away.
You also will usually not have to be carried out by the medics.
That is not saying much as it is pretty easy to make a nice sandwich out of Italian, Cuban, French bread etc. along with various meats and sauces and add ons.
It is not hard at all but Subway can/t consistently make them good.
It’s easy to beat Subway’s meet. I had a pastrami there that was a disgrace to deli meet.
“Its easy to beat Subways meet”
Where do you meat to beat your meet?
LOL!!!
If you don’t beat your meat, you can’t have any pudding....how can you have any pudding if you don’t beat your meat?
Jimmy John's are super fast,,,but very bland, imo.
Never heard of Cousins...
In my little town...we have a Subway...and they are fine...as far as I can tell.
Not true...in EVERY town.
I don’t stop at local subways but on the road only fast food place I will eat.
LaSpadas Original Cheesesteak
After Obama basically put me out of business in 2009 I started working as a manager at the Wawa near my home. The pay was 1/6th of my former income but the commute was great (usually four minutes). Anyway, I really like the Wawa sandwiches and when my wife would drag me to a Subway I noticed that their foot longs had only 2/3 the meat of a Wawa Classic sub. I also observed terrible food handling/safety procedures at both of our local Subways.
We also have a Firehouse and Jersey Mikes nearby and I also enjoy their sandwiches.
I have found that every time I have a Subway sandwich, I get the trots. Every. Single. Time.
While I refuse to eat anything from there anymore, I do like their coffee. Up here they serve Seattle’s Best. Much better than $tarbuck$, and reasonably priced, too!
They got greedy, and put (Again, I hate to say this) Indians in charge of most of these franchises, seemingly. I LOVE Indians, but they are cheaper than a guy named Moshe from Scotland, and they have never seemed to figure out the art of cleaning a store.
