The first that comes to mind for me: "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial". Sappy and overly sentimental.
(And while I'm at it, "Titanic")
You can’t see some movies on a date!
Jerry Maguire, among many others.
Same here, I guess-watching Avatar was entertaining the 1st time, but my guy even bought the damn DVD-I refuse to go to his place on a weekend if he plans to watch it-yet again-I’d rather watch a romantic comedy or something adult artsy like Henry and June...
Now A Christmas Story is anti-gun???
You guys tonight are starting to make Siskel and Ebert look hip.
Anything by Tarantino.
The Grinch that Stole Christmas.
I hate everything Seuss.
Dr. Zhivago is a great movie. I see lots of movies here I think are well above average that fellow FReepers dislike. If they knew more about them maybe they would appreciate them more. Dr. Z was a long movie and that turns some people off.
Avitar!.......
too cartoon-ish and full of NWO nonsense.
Gone With the Wind.
The Last Action Hero
I dont see how its anti-gun. It shows Ralphs protecting his family against Black Bart. What a great endorsement for having guns to protect your family.
“Star Wars. All of em.”
Agree 100%
Star Trek Into Darkness
Star Trek Beyond
Guardians of the Galaxy

>>>Citizen Kane<<<
Totally underrated masterpiece!
The only good Star Trek movie is The Wrath of Khan.
But seriously, I mostly agree with your comments. That movie was a huge disappointment for me. It was based on a number of short stories by a Radio raconteur, Jean Shepherd, that were originally published in Playboy magazine (that should tell you something). They were compiled into a book called "In God We Trust-All Others Pay Cash" (which I love). As is so often the case, the book was much better than the movie. It should never be thought of as a movie for kids-it's a movie about kids for adults.
Hell, there are some movies I can’t watch even now with my man-Nemesis got Last Tango and asked that we watch it again together-after all, we are real adults now, right? I had the same reaction to the same scenes-blush, look anywhere but at him, etc-he thought that was hilarious laughed his ass off and teased me for a week about it-apparently there are still some movies I can’t watch with a guy...
Every Woody Allen movie, except perhaps “Bananas”
Horrorshow film, American Beauty.
Men I know who are leftist, could not stop singing its praises.
Titanic. She sinks and many people die.
Any Star Wars movie.
