A North Carolina math teacher was arrested after being accused of having sex with three male students.
Erin Elizabeth McAuliffe was taken in custody after a police investigation concluded that she had sexual relationships with two 17-year-old students and one 16-year-old student. She was charged with three counts of sexual activity with a student and one count of indecent liberties with a minor.
Rocky Mount Preparatory School, where McAuliffe worked until the investigation began on May 4, acknowledged the scandal in a statement to WNCN.
"We have been fully cooperative with local law enforcement during the course of their handling of this matter," the statement read.
The encounters reportedly took place outside of school grounds.

So she should be fired for having sex with minor (she was charged as having inappropriate conduct with a minor—not legal aged at time) but not jailed. She is hot after all. Still think she is hot enough to carry off the “Orange is the new black” look.
However, if she did not sign a contract that had clear provisions that prohibited engaging in sex (or sexual activity) with her students (consensual or not), then she should not be fired. She is hot after all.

The notion that the issues are the same when a female teacher conveys what would be seen as a much appreciated blessing on three teenaged boys, and a male teacher uses his position to seduce a teenaged girl, is taking myopic egalitarian absurdity to a new level.
Up until recent times 16 and 17 year old men were adults, worked, sat on councils, raised families, etc. We have a system designed to keep them acting like children.
Still I find it hard to believe that this woman couldn’t find partners her age.

Thanks for the proper legal term. I was in Virginia where one had to have their parent/s approve of/sign for marriage if under 21. I had 3 high school classmates 21-22 in mid 60’s. Yes, VA required one to have a HS diploma or a female could be married if her parents agreed. No pregnant girl could be in school. I recall in 1966, I was on leave from the Army and my sister and BIL got married finally. Both were born in 1945, so OK. They were both in college. It seems VA is still 18 for consent. I have known a few men from Jackson, MS. They were hard workers who had skills.
If school district policy states violations equals firing that should be a fitting and expected outcome. I don’t see the need for active police/sheriff involvement if age of consent is not an issue.
