Just finished up Season 6 over the Thanksgiving week. Generally, I thought the characters were interesting and the clash of culture also made for interesting story telling.
My only criticism would be all the stupid things the Sheriff's department did in Season 5.
Nonetheless; great series and the timing of it coming to a close was just about right. (Unlike "Lost")
I started watching Fortitude, and it was interesting, but the full frontal nudity, explicit sex, and foul language ruined it. I’ll just read the synopsis to find out how it goes. No one will notice, but I refuse to watch movies and programs like that any more. That’s why I appreciated Longmire so much. They produced a top notch series without all that, though they seemed to have more cursing in the last two seasons, but not the really foul stuff.
How many murders can there be in a small town?
If you have Netflix, watch the BBC Midsomer Murders. Between two and three people are murdered each episode. My S O and I laugh all the time about the multiple deaths in town.
Cabot Cove was smaller yet Jessica Fletcher had a murder on her hands every week.
Usually, there were 3 murders and usually committed by the same wanna be serial killer.
We loved Foyle's War. The same pattern was often in Foyle's War. One of the funniest scene was a dialogue between inspector Foyle and an American Army/Air Force officer.
The Yank told Foyle that his people, the Brits spent their free time sleeping with someone else's wife or husband, with the jealous one often committing murder on the sexual offender.
We binge re-watched the previous season to get back into the swing of things and binge watched the final season. Am wanting to start back over from the beginning. Great show. Not much cursing. Not much gratuitous sex, except the ending. No cars chases that waste time with filler. Characters who care about each other and have each other’s backs.
“Hot “ Vic is a great actress though liked her better in Battle Star Galactica, to me, one of the best TV shows ever.
I started binge watching Godless the other day. Pretty dark for a western.
A local fellow who shoots at the range where I work is in Godless. Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, who is also a pretty well known MMA fighter. Nice guy.
Season 6 was released on Streaming Netflix Nov. 17th. They released the whole season. Cool.
You may have a point there - but I can't tell
And on top of it all, that "Starbuck" chick. Can't stand her.
Ugh, she was awful in BSG. Best character in that (rebooted) series was the Admiral.
Have watched the first two episodes of the last season. A little over wrought but am enjoying it. You are right, the ending is here and that is good.
I have loved Last Man Standing.
Barnaby may be the worst detective in the world. But he’s such a likeable guy.
Yes. I wonder if another network will pick up Last Man Standing?
Lol. Autocorrect.
A sheriff with no jurisdiction where he was arresting people.
The admiral was better than Starbucks but I liked her as Starbucks better than her character Vic.
Also preferred No. 6 better to Starbucks
While I truly enjoyed most of the episodes, thought the acting and actors/actresses did outstanding work, the final episode of season six was a slap in the face of decency and honor. The tension between Longmire and Moretti should never have been breached with their consummating their relationship in a sexual foray. Gratuitous garbage.
