DEAR AMY: There’s a guy who has made it known that he likes me. I am interested in him, too, but here’s my dilemma: We are of different ethnicities (I’m white). This is not an issue for me, but he has strong beliefs in the “Black Lives Matter” movement. In the city where we live he hangs mainly with residents who are mostly (their words) brown and black people.
I am already trying to figure out where I fit in. Some people have embraced me, while others play the reverse racism card. How do I know what he feels for me is genuine when he espouses views that openly favor people of color?

According to some eternally angry sorts, having two parents getting married and raising a kid is racist.
Before this girl decides she needs to know what she is getting into. First the sex will be great if you like it rough. He feels entitled to sex with you as part of his reparations, and to refuse his advances is racism. The goal is to use you as a trophy and to knock you up. He likely hates white people and will beat you if you make him angry. He may want to share you with his friends and of course to refuse is racism. When he becomes bored or finds his next white victim he will leave you alone and pregnant. Enjoy.
There was no "police brutality" in the NYC incident at all. No criminal charges were filed in New York, no Federal charges were filed after a U.S. Justice Department investigation (in the Obama administration, mind you), and there weren't even any administrative charges brought by the NYPD>

When he says he wants to “date” you, it does NOT mean that he wants to court you and hopefully marry you.

I’m getting hit for adding my exceptions because I am sure of all the “popular” police brutality cases lately, maybe one or two were legit. But most of the most famous ones WERE LIES so that their own behavior led to justified force upon them. My point isn’t the exceptions, and I want to be fair, but usually it is indeed poor civilization that leads to rougher treatment by LE.
So I don’t remember every detail with the guy selling cigs. I know the N Charleston one was handled perfectly: cops shooting an unarmed fleeing guy on foot -and the cop was arrested and serving/served time for murder in the first. But these are the exceptions. BLM was based on false narratives.

It reminds me of another such family, where a half black kid is raised by a white family and given every opportunity available plus some reserved for blacks only.
Then he grew up to write a book about his father (who abandoned him and he never knew) and to hate white people.
Odd, isn’t it? I played ball with tons of blacks, whites, and hispanics, most all of them hung out together and I hardly knew what color they were, my blonde blue-eyed granddaughter’s best friend is a black girl, they are always together, if the advocacy groups would STFU our country would be non-racial.
Ah, okay, I remember the N. Charlston event now that you gave those details. Yeah; that was straight up murder by the cop. I have no idea what he was thinking by shooting that poor guy in the back as he was running away. All of that would have shown up in the autopsy even if there was no video but the video made it easy to convict and put it to bed fast.
