Alabama state auditor defends Roy Moore against sexual allegations, invokes Mary and Joseph
Washington Examiner ^ | 11/9/17 | Philip Wegmann

Judge Roy Moore, the Republican candidate for Alabama's upcoming special Senate election, denies allegations that he romantically pursued teenagers as young as 14 when he was in his 30s. Even if the allegations are true, one statewide elected official in Alabama said it's "much ado about nothing."

“There is nothing to see here,” Alabama State Auditor Jim Ziegler told the Washington Examiner. “The allegations are that a man in his early 30s dated teenage girls. Even the Washington Post report says that he never had sexual intercourse with any of the girls and never attempted sexual intercourse.”

After interviews with more than 30 people, the Washington Post reported Thursday that Moore engaged in sexual contact with a 14-year-old girl when he was 32 years old and a powerful attorney in a small Alabama town.

The young girl, Leigh Corfman, said Moore touched her over her bra and underpants, guiding her hand to his shorts. “I wanted it over with — I wanted out,” she recalled. “Please just get this over with. Whatever this is, just get it over.”

Ziegler seemed unconcerned about that allegation and told the Washington Examiner that any political concern would be mitigated by three things. Moore never had “sexual intercourse” with the girl. Their relationship “happened almost 40 years ago.” And finally, “Roy Moore fell in love with one of the younger women.”

The phrase “even if the allegations are true” is sure being rolled around a lot.

I just hope the people of Alabama are able to spot a fraud.

Read the story details. The stories don’t amount to much, dates sanctioned by a parent and a kiss. The 14 yo story doesn’t fit the pattern and the accuser is a mess by her own admission.

I have read that if Alabama GOP withdraws their endorsement Moore will remain on the ballot but cannot be awarded the seat if he wins.

I would not have dated teenage girls when I was 30.
Creepy all the way around.

The Senate can also refuse to seat him, but I have no idea what happens at that point.

I assume the governor can appoint a replacement and then we follow the state statute, which I believe means Moore can run again, and we do this for the rest of our lives.

“Take the Bible. Zachariah and Elizabeth for instance. Zachariah was extremely old to marry Elizabeth and they became the parents of John the Baptist,” Ziegler said choosing his words carefully before invoking Christ. “Also take Joseph and Mary. Mary was a teenager and Joseph was an adult carpenter. They became parents of Jesus.”

“There’s just nothing immoral or illegal here,” Ziegler concluded. “Maybe just a little bit unusual.”

No, no, no! A man that age does not date teenagers. This is creepy, and I liked Moore a lot up to this point. Doesn’t it figure that the Demopublicans saved this until Moore won the nomination. They are trying to discredit conservatives, particularly Christian conservatives, in people’s minds. *sigh*

Is anyone really suspicious of Mr. Zeigler now?

This sounds like a guy who has been waiting all his life to defend dating a 14 year old.

MOORE IS GETTING ALINSKIED.

AND CONSERVATIVES ARE DOING THEIR THING TO RUIN HIM.

IGNORE THE CHARGES AND SAY THAT THEY ARE LIES BROUGHT BY LEFTISTS WHO HATE GOOD PEOPLE.

RINSE AND REPEAT.

Saul Alinsky’s Rules from Rules for Radicals

Saul Alinsky describes 24 rules in Rules for Radicals. Of those 24 rules, 13 are rules of “power tactics”:

1. “Power is not only what you have but what the enemy
thinks you have.”

2. “Never go outside the experience of your people.”

3. “Wherever possible go outside of the experience of the
enemy.”

4. “Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules.”

5. “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.”

6. “A good tactic is one that your people enjoy.”

7. “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.”

8. “Keep the pressure on, with different tactics and
actions, and utilize all events of the period for your purpose.”

9. “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing
itself.”

10. “The major premise for tactics is the development of
operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition.”

11. “If you push a negative hard and deep enough it will
break through into its counterside.”

12. “The price of a successful attack is a constructive
alternative.”

13. “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”

The remaining 11 rules Alinsky describes are concerned with “the ethics of means and ends”:

1. “One’s concern with the ethics of means and ends varies inversely with one’s personal interest in the issue … Accompanying this rule is the parallel one that one’s concern with the ethics of means and ends varies inversely with one’s distance from the scene of conflict.”

2. “The judgment of the ethics of means is dependent upon the political position of those sitting in judgment.”

3. “In war the end justifies almost any means.”

4. “Judgment must be made in the context of the times in which the action occurred and not from any other chronological vantage point.”

5. “Concern with ethics increases with the number of means available and vice versa.”

6. “The less important the end to be desired, the more one can afford to engage in ethical evaluations of means.”

7. “Generally success or failure is a mighty determinant of ethics.”

8. “The morality of a means depends upon whether the means is being employed at a time of imminent defeat or imminent victory.”

9. “Any effective means is automatically judged by the opposition as being unethical.”

10. “You do what you can with what you have and clothe it with moral garments.”

11. “Goals must be phrased in general terms like ‘Liberty, Equality, Fraternity,’ ‘Of the Common Welfare,’ ‘Pursuit of Happiness,’ or ‘Bread and Peace.’”

That sounds very strange. Doubt it would hold up in court even if true.

Murkowski was advising Luther Strange on running a write-in campaign though!
POLITICO tweeter: “.@lisamurkowski says she’s spoken to @SenatorStrange about running a write-in campaign. #ALsen”

Guilty until proven innocent!

Notice how the RINOs jump all over this from the get-go and ask Moore to step down. Eff'em ALL. Soros is probably paying for this HIT JOB.
