Papa Johns told the NFL their sales are down this year during NFL games. This must be very concerning to the pizza chain and to the NFL. Social Justice Protests continued this week at several NFL games
I didnt even know qb Rogers was out for the season. Nfl is dead to me.
Jesse Jackson says we should not oppress these guys paying them millions to play football.
Boycott the NFL,
for the players......
I’m typing this with the Monday Night Football pre-game on in the background. All social justice. It’s clear the NFL & ESPN don’t get it.
I doubt “Papa John” himself appreciates what they are doing personally.
I’m not sure the NFL can fully recover from this. More people are now filling the void by watching college football and other activities and are turning the NFL off. They are not “boycotting” they’ve simply made a clean break and replaced it with something else. They aren’t “waiting” for things to get better and they may come back later - they’ve just quit them.
I was wondering about that.
Good news.
The Season Ticket renewals is going to tell the story. If those tank, and l hope they will, watch what happens. If the owners are smart they better not give Goodell his extension. They can dump him and that MIGHT help.
I don’t even agree with “boycotting” - just make a clean break and watch or do something else.
Watch Johnny Carson re-runs instead of Kimmel, Colbert, etc. No need to “boycott until our demands are met” - just quit them - period.
BLM/NFL Slum Dog Millionaires don’t care about no White Man pizza store.
What double speak. They disrespect the flag but didn’t mean to disrespect the flag
Same here. Guess they couldn’t care less.
IIRC, Papa John’s owner was a strong Trump supporter for the 2016 election. If so, I hope he can disassociate himself from the NFL and not lose too much business. Trump needs all the help he can get.
The easiest metric for the NFL to know if this is hurting their bottom line - along with the obvious reduction in TV viewership - would be their online store for NFL products.
The problem is SJW distort their numbers. Sponsors and NFL are running scared based on the agitation of a very small percentage (50,000 or less people) of the population. The leftists were anti-NFL already and didn’t even watch before the protests began.
Rush had some big campaign against him that turned out to be... one guy. One troll using multiple accounts. The true BLM / America Last crowd is a small, noisy bunch of losers.
League should just say, “All of our players will stand for the National Anthem or not participate in the game. Period.” Then enforce that. They should have done this from day one last year with Kapernick. They let him get away wearing ‘cops are pigs’ socks because they were afraid of things snowballing. They snowballed anyway.
Players can be replaced. Hundreds of people lined up to get a big paycheck to play a game. Players are expendable. They come and go.
Fans and their loyalty were the rare thing the NFL had. People watching games in rain and snow, buying gear, scheduling weddings and travel plays around games. The NFL threw away their most valuable asset trying to placate a few players with delusions of political grandeur. Big mistake.
This will be studied in business schools on how not to manage a crisis for years to come.
The rot actually began at Mizzou two years ago. SJW realized the weak link were the players. Tell them they are Uncle Toms and need to stand up to the man. Get the players to go full retard with social justice claims and that’ll alienate the fan base. That’s exactly what happened with Mizzou and it should have been a warning sign to the NFL and other sports of what was to come.
Sausage, Jalapeno, and Weltanschauung
you are propping their ratings up ...
As a U.S. military veteran, I could care less if the NFL folded it’s tent and took their “protestors” back to whence they came. Like millions of other American veterans, we “signed on the bottom line” to defend this nation up to and includi9ng our deaths so those phony protestors could become rich while providing NOTHING to our gross national product. Do I care what happens to them? Ready between the lines.
I never went back to MLB following the 1994 strike and that action was not nearly as personally offensive to me as what these retards are doing in the NFL.
As my very own mom and longlong time Pats fan now says, “I really don’t care anymore.”
That commercial’s particularly odious.
I emailed Papa John’s....told them no mas!
