During an appearance on Mondays episode of The View, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) appeared to help celebrate his daughter Meghans birthday.
During the appearance the panel of women asked McCain about the recent comments he made about those who were able to dodge the draft due to bone spurs. Many assumed that it was President Donald Trump he was referring to in the speech accepting the Liberty Medal, because Trump was able to secure five draft deferments for alleged bone spurs.
Co-host Joy Behar asked if McCain found it galling when Trump cast aspersions on your service after getting deferments.
McCain said it wasnt as much an attack on Trump as it was a commentary on the system that allowed the wealthy a way out while the poor were forced to serve. He specifically cited the children of farmers or urban youth, the poor didnt have the option to get a letter from a doctor, go to college or disappear to another country.
That is wrong. That is wrong. If we are going to ask every American to serve, every American should serve, he said.
He went on to detail heartbreaking comments he heard from veterans in response to Trumps continuous attacks on Sgt. La David Johnsons wife and mentor Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL).(snip)
He urged people to maintain a civil discourse, and the panel played a clip from the 2008 campaign in which McCain corrected a supporter who claimed that President Barack Obama was an Arab.
Lets stop insulting each other, he urged.
The women of the panel asked McCain what kind of relationship he had with the president. Specifically, co-host Sara Haines asked if they talk on the phone or speak.
Almost none, McCain said.

How utterly appropriate that McBrainCancer ends up on The View, an uberliberal estrogen-fest.
6 diseased vaginas
Sen. McCain you are going to die a bitter man.
McShame has obviously been losing it mentally ....
whether its the cancer or drugs or just old age or something in his water supply, I don’t know
but he should definitely retire now.
he is only bringing shame to himself and Arizona
Yep, he’s scum.
Ha ha. Good one.
Trumps success in business paid for all the planes McCain wrecked in the Navy.
One way to look at it.
Bill Clinton got out, dishonestly, while preserving his “political viability.”
AL Gore got a cushy “army journalist” spot so he could pretend to be in uniform while doing nothing of value.
John Kerry did serve but turned scratches into Purple Hearts so he could leave as fast as possible.
Hillary claims she later wanted to join the Marines but was turned away (yeah, sure).
Obozo (years later) didn’t even register for the draft, and John McVain never made an issue of it.
Joe Biden got student deferments, went to law school where he plagiarized papers and nearly got kicked out, eventually graduating near the bottom of his class.
This piece of crap allowed his goons to trash Sarah Palin on a regular basis. He NEVER had any intention of winning the Presidency..he used Sarah to be the Fall guy and had his army of a-holes go on TV and trash her and did he EVER come to her defense..NO..so to me that is unforgivable..so he is one to go on TV and say Stop insulting each other YOU FIRST DOUCHE BAG
I never had much respect for the man in the first place, but after he condoned bashing Sarah Palin’s family and dragging them through the mud, as well as his defense of Obama during the election, I lost what little respect I had for him.
"You Got To Move"
"What You Gonna DO When Death Comes Creeping In Your Room"
Heck he was having his people trash her before the election even occurred..tells people “You dont have to fear an Obama Presidency” shows where his head was, he could have cared less about winning..he thought picking Sarah Palin she would be his puppet, but she actually WANTED to WIN, he didnt..she busted her ass for that man and how did he repay her, he let his slime ball buddies go on TV and trash her, her family, etc..McCain is slime, but this is the way he wants to die, trashing Trump..he won’t like it when he gets to the other side to meet his maker, wont be pretty
I agree with everything you said. He made a big mistake when he chose Sarah because he wanted a fall girl, someone to blame it on. He already planned on losing.
I imagine hell has a nice, hot sauna for the swamp dwellers from DC.
Sometimes I wish that when McCain called Sarah at that fair she was at to ask her to be his VP candidate, that she not have answered the phone because McCain didn’t want to win, he was looking for a patsy..Sarah tried so hard to win, went all over the country, wanted to go to Michigan but they refused to let her go..she had the winning spirit, the rest of them had the losing spirit..they never intended on winning..one day I do hope she runs for President, then I can say IM WITH HER!
He really gets around.
Deferments, riiiight -- like the kind the leftists had when their rich parents or the endless largesse of the overspending federal gubmint kept their college bills paid? Like that? No, I didn't think so, you're just kissing leftist ass again. You must like the taste.
McCain is a useless, self-serving prick who would have accomplished nothing in his life without his dad run in the Navy. He can’t make it in the world by exiting true leadership, yes to stab everyone in the back and then run with the loot.
McCain is such a pussbucket that I'm sure his cancer will somehow turn into a communicable disease where he may be around forever infecting humanity like the immortal cancer that travels through dogs. It started with one dog over 10,000 years ago.

There is another communicable form of cancer found a fairly recently that almost wiped out the Tasmanian devils.
What do WW2 POWs have to do with this story? McCain may look old enough, but trust me, he was not involved in World War II. He was in the Vietnam War, also called the Second Indochina War.
I plan to talk about both conflicts in my podcast, starting around the end of this year.
Ever since 2008, I have wondered if I did the right thing by voting for McCain in that year’s election, when he was Sarah Palin’s running mate and the alternative was Obama. After all, I never liked him, and I remember when he was the only Republican among the Keating Five.
