Backlash: Week 6 of the NFL Reveals Several Nearly Empty Stadiums As Fans Continue to Leave [tr]

The NFL likely hoped for a return to normalcy for Week 6, especially after Commissioner Goodell’s call to “move past the anthem controversy,” and address the issue in detail at league meetings on Tuesday. Instead, what the NFL got was a return to what has become the “new normal” in the age of anthem protests: empty seats.

I don’t care if they are protesting against gun control. I don’t want politics in football. Period.

"Who cares."

The nfl, its "games", their "scores", the players are ALL totally irrelevant and utterly meaningless.

The nfl has become like the ancient gladiatorial games, the Circus Maximus; the famous gladiators and the charioteers of "renoun" from the ancient Romance Empire.

Their arenas are nothing but crumbling ruins and who can recall or name any of their "famous" gladiators or charioteers? The answer is no one! This is the fate that awaits the once "glorious" nfl:

Ozymandias

I met a traveller from an antique land Who said: `Two vast and trunkless legs of stone Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand, Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown, And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command, Tell that its sculptor well those passions read Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things, The hand that mocked them and the heart that fed. And on the pedestal these words appear --

"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings: Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"

Nothing beside remains. Round the decay Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare The lone and level sands stretch far away.'

Percy Bysshe Shelley

This is the future that awaits the nfl, and they destroyed it all with their own hands!

ALL THEY REALLY CARE ABOUT IS THE MONEY, THAT IS ALL!

They literally strangled to death their fan base "goose that laid all of their billion dollar nfl solid gold eggs" with their own hands. The goose is permanently dead and they killed it! Now, all too late they want to put Humpty Dumpy back together again and resurrect the goose from the dead.

This is rich, the National Felon League chose to side and kneel with hate America, only blm, sjw, hate whitey, communist anarchists over America and their own nfl fan base and now their fan base has been totally alienated and the very monsters they willingly aligned themselves with have turned on them and are now eating them alive.

All too late the nfl has awoken to the reality that the entire league, has an INCURABLE CASE OF SELF INFLICTED FINANCIAL EBOLA and is hemorrhaging money out of every conceivable orafice to the tune of HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS A WEEK with no way out and no end in sight.

The once financially lucrative nfl is circling the toilet bowl into obscurity and is quickly becoming totally irrelevant and financially worthless.

We choose to STAND with Americans for America; we choose love of country, we choose patriotism, we choose to "Live Free or Die", rather than "huddle up", "bend the knee" and subjugate ourselves, our families, and our beloved nation to the black racist, socialist, sjw, PC tyranny and perverted ideology of the National Felon League.

They want us to compromise our patriotism, our love of country, flag and nation and symbolically join the NFL in show of rebellious "unity" but "What fellowship does light have with darkness, good with evil (and subjugation for the sake of 'unity')?"

The answer is a resounding NOTHING! We can have no "unity" with those who hate our nation, its flag, its values and with those who despise us.

The anti-American National Felon League has, to quote Admiral Yamato: "awoken a sleeping giant and filled him with a terrible resolve".

We are at war; the NFL started this cultural war against US, against America and they are attacking EVERYTHING WE STAND FOR, BELIEVE IN AND HOLD NEAR AND DEAR.

Like WWII, there can not be any, truce, or "compromise" for the sake of their false notion of "unity", no "cessation of hostilities" with the nfl and those who have made themselves our enemies with out a cause.

We Americans who love our county more than any game have now taken up the fight forced upon us by the nfl and like "the greatest generation" we too will settle for only one outcome: NOTHING LESS THAT THEIR TOTAL SURRENDER!

The monumental choke in the Super Bowl was the final straw for many ATL sports fans.

Maybe multimillionaire players don’t see the connection between ‘fans and viewers’ and their ‘paychecks’...

LOL

They will... and sooner than people think...

Superbowl will tell. Look for the NFL to pull out all the stops for this entertainment extravaganza. We will see then how this all is going to shake out.

For myself, I do not want the players to be forced to honor the flag in an insincere public display of patriotism. I want the NFL to dry up and blow away.

I just posted this on another thread, but it fits here too:

Let’s pretend that the NFL is a different kind of business, say, a furniture store, in a free market economy.

OK...so there is this furniture store that is VERY popular. Either due to marketing, merchandising, or the high quality of its product (whatever!) the store gets bigger and bigger, richer and richer, and more and more popular. The prices go up, because the demand is so high. The owners can count on regular customers, who love the store’s furniture so much that they actually have mugs, T-Shirts, and ball caps with the Furniture Store’s Logo emblazoned upon it.

The management of the store ascertains that his customers are mostly patriotic Americans, so he has special decorations put up for American Holidays, and displays the Flag prominently. This brings in more and more customers, the prices keep going up, and everybody is happy.

Then, the owner realizes that the building is too small to house his furniture store. A new building will cost a lot more than he wants to spend, but, because his store is SO popular with the patriotic American People who patronize it, he is able to somehow get THEM to pay for it, through taxpayer funding, and, of course, an increase in pricing.

Because, for some reason, big African-American Men seem better at selling his furniture than others, he subsidizes their college, pays for their training, and gives them huge salaries to work in the store. The mostly white customers don’t mind the disproportionate numbers of black salespeople, because the customers are not racist, and the salesmen are performing, selling, the furniture, respecting the Flag, and generally providing the service they are being paid to perform.

Then, one day, the sales staff rebels, not against their employers, but against the CUSTOMERS, who are the ones paying their salaries. They do this by insulting what the customers hold dear, their Country and Their Flag. The customers find out that there are other furniture stores they can go to...ones that don’t insult them.

Or...everybody realizes that they have enough furniture, and don’t even need half of what is clogging up their homes. Then they have a big Yard Sale, of even burn or discard what they don’t need.

And there is NOTHING illegal, immoral, racist, or un-American in doing so.

The Furniture Store closes, and all the disrespectful employees lose their million-dollar jobs.

It’s called CHOICE.

I truly have no dog in this fight. I’ve been to two pro games in my life. Was given primo Ravens tickets last year and passed them to a friend. I think I’ve only watched a half dozen TV games in my life.

It’s just fun watching these idiots self-immolate.

Brad Keselowski won the NASCAR race at Talladega yesterday and as usual, capped his celebration with an American flag in his hand.

Watched the Talladega Alabama 500 yesterday. NASCAR race. I don’t know the full capacity of that track, but I didn’t see very many empty seats. No way.

Dale Earnhardt JR was the pole sitter. The Alabama Governor named Oct 15th ‘Dale Earnhardt Jr Day’ in the state. His Dad won the race on the only other Oct 15th the race was run in 2000. The car that his Dad drove that day was restored to it’s original condition & presented to Dale Jr before the start of the race. He said the car had been languishing at his Grandmother’s place for years. He sure was surprised.

When the National Anthem was played, the cameras showed everyone with their hands over their hearts & standing at attention—especially in the pits.

The ‘flyover’ was performed by an F-16 AND a restored P-51 MUSTANG. Beautiful !!!

Good race. Next one is in Kansas next Sunday. NBC.

I go into a cigar place quite frequently and sit down and visit. They have 4 TV’s. Two were set to NFL football yesterday,

http://www.cigarsinternational.com

http://www.cigarpage.com

http://www.holts.com

http://www.cigarplace.biz

http://www.jrcigars.com

Next week just point to the TVs showing the NFL games and give him a piece of paper with the links on it.

Explain to him--they don't have the quisling NFL on and their cigar prices are a lot cheaper than yours.

Absolutely NO MORE Beyonce & her Black Panther Dancers.

I gave up an opportunity for tix this year. Parking is a pain and impossible to find close in. The pace of play is sooo slow. Going to the game chews up most of a day. Then there are the drunks. It is not a family friendly venue. A cold weather game in a storm is not a pleasant experience. So, reluctantly, I said no in light of the sky high price.

Now, with the player protests and the Broncos play sucking, I feel really, really good about my choice.

I’ve got PSL’s for the Texans, so I’ll be buying the seats again next year (otherwise, wasted the money for the PSL’s); however, just like this year, I’ll be selling every single game. Fortunately, not at a loss, but I didn’t try to make a ton of money either... just cover my cost, and maybe an extra $20-50 bucks.
