If you watched the Philadelphia Eagles 28-23 win over the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football last night you would have seen the home turf team’s Luke Kuechly exit the game in the second quarter due to a possible concussion. However, despite a potential move by the NFL to disallow protest by players during the national anthem, one thing you would have not seen on TNF on CBS and the NFL Network last night was the playing of the national anthem.

As of last week, the 2017-2018 NFL season is down almost 8% in viewers from the same Week 5 point in the 2016-2017 season.

I don’t recall the anthem ever being televised for foosball games. They use that time for commercials. I don’t watch many games but I think that is how it goes.
The problem is the NFL exec are Ivy League snobs and Manhattan socialites. Most of them have never met a Trump supporter. It’s why NFL spokesman Joe Lockhart smugly said that Trump was “out of touch.”

Down 5% from last week’s Thursday game. Of course, yesterday night was also Game 5 of the NLDS between the Cubs & Nationals.
Nah, they never typically showed the national anthem on TV until Kaepernick and it became a big "will he or won't he" show. Except at playoff games and a handful of rare occasions. They are just going back to that to try to defuse the situation. Problem is now people will assume the players ARE protesting unless they see otherwise. That's the new normal in the NFL. So hiding the national anthem isn't going to do the trick. My opinion.

Suppose they all stand now? What are we to do with the images of them all kneeling? Of Cam Newton and his black power fist? What does that he mean, he’s BLM and he hates white people? Desean Jackson stretching during the anthem. The entire Steelers team hiding out in the locker room.
The NFL is done. Bring back the USFL! Fireworks at halftime, free flags to the fans. NFL would fold in one year.
