Do you own an old Muscle Car?

What's the story?
What is it?
Where did you find it?
Does it run?
Will it ever run?

I’ve owned a few over the years.
Thinking about getting a Restomod, maybe next year.
Now that I’m old I like AC and all the modern conveniences.

My older Brother still has a 32 Ford 5 window Deuce Coupe he bought and fixed up when he was 17. He just turned 71 and it sits in his Garage buried under a bunch of boxes.

If he falls over before I do... LOL

Almost bought a jag years ago, drove nice, looked great, took to a foreign car specialist to have it checked out.

All he said after I paid for the inspection was,Do Not Buy This Car.

I had a Cousin who had accumulated around 7 or 8 classic cars from the 60s era. They were stored at his parent’s abandoned house. I think he made a small attempt to keep them up but very little.

Around 5 years ago, I was talking to a guy who restored 64/65 Mustangs. I mentioned to him that my Cousin had 4 or them. He phoned Charles but was told they were not for sale.

Charles died a year or so back. I have no idea who inherited them, but they are all still sitting there rusting away.

No, not now. But this thread brought back many a memory.

I had a couple in the past. The one I loved the most was my 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400. She was military button green, four on the floor, 400 V8, four barrel carb, air shocks, very powerful muscle car.

I had a tricked out 65 Malibu as well.

Muscle cars were fun. But now I am 61 years old, not that great at night driving, all I want is a Tesla.

>>neighbor who is an ASE certified master technician and a DJ. Jags keep him fed and fat. (if you buy a Jag, buy 2... One to drive and one for the shop)

A guy in my circle of friends in college c. 1981 or so was working his way through engineering school as a Jaguar mechanic. He finally dropped out when he realized how big of a cut in pay he would have to take as an entry level engineer.

“I don’t but I see alot of them driving around the area. Really a blast from the past. Thank all of you that do have one.”
I wish. Reminds me of when America was still America.
