Do you own an old Muscle Car?
What's the story?
What is it?
Where did you find it?
Does it run?
Will it ever run?
I’ve owned a few over the years.
Thinking about getting a Restomod, maybe next year.
Now that I’m old I like AC and all the modern conveniences.
My older Brother still has a 32 Ford 5 window Deuce Coupe he bought and fixed up when he was 17. He just turned 71 and it sits in his Garage buried under a bunch of boxes.
If he falls over before I do... LOL
All he said after I paid for the inspection was,Do Not Buy This Car.
Why would anyone need that power?
That’s not an old muscle car.
1965 Buick Skylark 2dr post car. Has an LS3 based 427 motor with a 6L80 transmission. 512RWHP and does 11.5 @ 120mph in the 1/4 mile. Has A/C, PS, PB and could be a daily driver. In fact I do take it to the bank etc. Has a pro touring suspension set up and 4 wheel disc brakes. 17” rally wheels.
Well,if you would consider a 1979 305 El Camino a Muscle Car,then yes;)
we called georges 67 olds 442 ‘the beast’
got airborne over the railroad tracks in a 72 raodrunner
I’m just finishing up my 1970 Roadrunner. 383 727 matching numbers. Sublime green. Its so shiny you can see it from space.
I had a Cousin who had accumulated around 7 or 8 classic cars from the 60s era. They were stored at his parent’s abandoned house. I think he made a small attempt to keep them up but very little.
Around 5 years ago, I was talking to a guy who restored 64/65 Mustangs. I mentioned to him that my Cousin had 4 or them. He phoned Charles but was told they were not for sale.
Charles died a year or so back. I have no idea who inherited them, but they are all still sitting there rusting away.
I drove a customized 77 VW bus with a Porsche engine in it LOL
The Mystery Machine LOL
cousin had a nova back in 1970,we had fun, dropped the driveshaft going down the highway.
Sweet! Buick’s version of a GTO?
No, not now. But this thread brought back many a memory.
I had a couple in the past. The one I loved the most was my 1968 Pontiac Firebird 400. She was military button green, four on the floor, 400 V8, four barrel carb, air shocks, very powerful muscle car.
I had a tricked out 65 Malibu as well.
Muscle cars were fun. But now I am 61 years old, not that great at night driving, all I want is a Tesla.
We had a ‘69 Cougar-——kept it 10 years and when we sold it my 16 year old son was royally pi**ed!
.
girl car
>>neighbor who is an ASE certified master technician and a DJ. Jags keep him fed and fat. (if you buy a Jag, buy 2... One to drive and one for the shop)
A guy in my circle of friends in college c. 1981 or so was working his way through engineering school as a Jaguar mechanic. He finally dropped out when he realized how big of a cut in pay he would have to take as an entry level engineer.
Good call! I bought for my 16 year old daughter, as a first car. (it was still a mistake)
“I dont but I see alot of them driving around the area. Really a blast from the past. Thank all of you that do have one.”
I wish. Reminds me of when America was still America.
