This plausible track scenario highlights extreme inland wind gusts well in excess of 70-90 mph all the way to Atlanta.
We are tying the boat up to the marina the right way and going to hunker down in a building that has been there since the 1700s. Should be ok.

My generator gas cans are mostly empty (3/4), so I’m going to fill tomorrow.
There’s always so much demand for gas in evacuations - for automobiles and more recently generators. Is it a good idea to have reserve cans of gas in your car??
Serious question - I would expect that transporting in a truck is fine - but a small car?
A lot of money was involved, it was broadcast on ESPN, there was no way the game wasn't going to happen. It became known as 'The Hugo Bowl'.
This picture is NOT photoshopped:
Anyway, everybody get the stuff you need now, before the lines are a mile long.
Branson rode it out in a concrete wine cellar. This is what he saw when he came out of it. He would probably be dead if not for that concrete bunker

I was driving my wife to the hospital thru the remnants of Katrina. Traffic was stopped due to torrential downpour.
That’s why I opted for a propane-powered generator: far easier & safer to store 20lb canisters than jugs of gasoline.
Be sure to leave a little slack for the storm surge.....................
He saw people in bunk beds?????
that was before storm hit.
they went to some kind of bunker. Most likely the kind rich people have for when SHTF
Here in North-East Florida, we can get along for 2 weeks without power, at this time of year. The weather is in 80’s, we have plenty of water stored and enough long lasting food to last 2 weeks. So did not invest in any type of generators. But I will miss scrambled eggs and bacon and coffee in the mornings.
“...This is what he saw when he came out of it...”
What did he see when he came out of it????
He said he hid out in the wine cellar.
It’s best to have a Diesel car and carry Diesel during emergency times.
Gasoline?, not so much. Maybe in a vented trailer, but still dangerous.
he described it
he is on a satellite phone. No pics yet
Get yourself a small propane camping stove. No need to go without coffee and bacon.
Some old car batteries, jumper cables to an running outside vehicle and inexpensive “modified” sine wave inverters can provide inexpensive, adequate power for resistive loads through extension cords in an emergency.
Don’t do it in the rain.
Yeah, temperature won’t be a problem now that it’s staying in the 60s & 70s.
I can cook fine without power. Propane generator will keep freezers cold, though I should pick up more room-temp foods.
And oh he11 no I won’t be without my coffee.
Inexpensive from an investment standpoint. Quite expensive on a kWh basis...
