Queen 'preparing to STEP DOWN from throne so Prince Charles can take over', butler claims
Daily Express ^ | 9-4-2017 | Matt Drake

Queen Elizabeth II, 91, is the longest reigning monarch and allegedly held a meeting as recently as two weeks ago to begin the process.

Her Majesty is said to have decided that if she is still on the throne at the age of 95 then she will request the Regency Act to come into force.

The Regency Act would make Charles a Prince Regent and a King in all but name.

Under the Act, the Queen would remain head of state but would have reduced duties without abdicating the throne.

She’ll die on the throne, I expect.

Supposedly that's where Elvis died.

Diana, the Adulteress of Wales.

Her husband beat her to it by a long mile.

Is that a hello kitty pin above the fake medals?

To begin with, those aren't combat medals but royal service medals; and if you are referring to the red poppy, that is a very honorable symbol worn by almost all (except the invaders) English on their equivalent of Memorial Day, to honor their brave military dead.

Where is the romantic in you. Despite the difficulties and disappointment that duty placed in their path an elderly couple finally managed to marry the true loves of their youth, and live happily ever after.

Charles is married to the woman he always loved, and who loved him, instead of a crazy manipulative .... He did his duty, now let him enjoy his final years.

You seriously think a 19-year-old virgin knew all that? And that her 32-year-old round-heeled husband and his shameless married mistress did not take great advantage of her naiveté?

Not even if she had read all of Shakespeare could she have known what lay ahead.

I doubt that, backwards and forwards.

You are woefully underinformed.

He claims he is very conservative, a practicing Christian, “’

I call BS. He is & was an adulterer, and the recent clips of interviews with Diana before her death & with Charles show he is a liar.

Deeply christian doesn’t match with his adulterous activities.

The one sentence I will hear to my grave is Charles telling Diana:

“I refuse to be the ONLY price of Wales that didn’t have a mistress..... “

Also him blaming Diana for his continued connections to Camilla.

He was very jealous of the adoration Diana drew no matter what country or what event they were at. He is a prissy & unhappy person. I don’t trust him to be King.

I thought so to but watching the crown on Netflix, she has a lot of exceptions she must abide by. She had a Dickins of a time trying to get her sister Margaret married off....never happened in fact. She wanted things for Phillip and was told no. So not sure if she really has as much power as some believe. The church was extremely strict with her. And if not the church, Churchill was a thorn.

ATM the succession is

Charles
William
George*
Charlotte*
Henry
Andrew
Beatrice
Eugenie
Edward
James*
Louise*
Anne
Peter
Zara

...These being the descendants of the Queen. Following this list would be the descendants of the late Princes Margaret.

*Minor children ATM. Would need some sort of Regent or Protector, probably from an adult further down the list.

Whatever!

I’m not defending Chuckle I’m just pointing out there is another viewpoint. I am willing to give it as much credibility as press reporting. Or are you going to tell me the press is credible, accurate as the day is long? No matter what the true views & character of Chuck actually are the press would put its spin and filter on it. Until we meet the guy we’ll never know, and then we really won’t. People are always surprising!

I really don’t want to get into a discussion of the morality, immorality or amorality of upper class royals. I don’t read supermarket tabloids so I don’t care!

“if you are referring to the red poppy”

nope. referring to the white cat like looking pin to the left of the poppy.

Tell me again what Charles does to earn his royal mantle?

From a Patriot’s perspective the lucky sperm club doesn’t cut it.

Trying to think of a time besides 1377 that the normal succession bypassed birth order. At that time the Prince of Wales had died incumbent (in battle), and that title and the succession fell to his son.

Other hiccups in succession were the result of various kinds of civil war (Wars of the Roses and the Stuart/Cromwell events for instance).

Even in 1938 the Prince of Wales succeeded to the throne upon the death of George V. He abdicated before hs coronation, but unlike American inaugurations, the office passes immediately on the demise of the crown. The coronation plans were in being, they just had to change the name for George VI and include a lesser throne for Elizabeth the Queen Consort (known to us as the late Queen Mother).

Thanks for that list. William and Kate having a third child seems like a good idea, as insurance against that list.
