Mega earthquake 'could strike in mid Atlantic within TWO days' warns researcher

A POWERFUL earthquake could strike the planet by FRIDAY because of planetary alignments, a self-styled tremor forecaster has warned.

New age earthquake researcher Frank Hoogerbeets warned a major magnitude 7 quake could strike within two days.

(snip)

His latest video warning, also available on YouTube, said we entered a "critical period" on Monday this week, which will continue until Friday.

He told Express.co.uk: "From August 28 to September 1 will be critical because of two planetary alignments, one of which is Jupiter-Mercury-Uranus.

"In July the same planets aligned and a magnitude 7.7 earthquake was triggered within three days."

Mr Hoogerbeets warned up until September 1 there would be a seismic increase and there was a risk of a magnitude 7 quake - considered a major event.

He said the "seismic increase" was "anticipated until September 1, with a strong possibility of a magnitude 7 plus earthquake."

Mr Hoogerbeets was not specific about where the quake might strike, but warned that activity had increased off the coast of north eastern Canada, which had affected the north mid Atlantic ridge and, in turn the Mediterranean.

Mr Hoogerbeets also issued a wider warning saying because there have "only been three magnitude 7 plus earthquakes in 2017," it meant more were likely towards the end of the year - like in 2004 when the world witnessed the horrific boxing day tsunami that hit south east Asia.

He said: "This is way below average. A similar situation existed in 2004 with no magnitude 7 plus earthquakes between February and July.

"But no less than 12 magnitude 7 plus earthquakes occurred in the second half of that year, including a magnitude 8.1 and 9.3 earthquake in December.

What rot. Gravitational force follows the inverse square law. The moon only moves water around, and that’s a damned close planetary body.

Stupidity abounds. The combined mass of Jupiter, Uranus and Mercury is infinitesimal in the larger scheme of things and has a negligible effect on the Earth.

My “mass”, at 290 pounds, has more affect on the Atlantic ocean than those three planets do simply because I am incredibly closer to it.

If this prediction occurs, then I will buy every Freeper a beverage of his or her choice.

The forces exerted by the planets are insignificantly small, because gravitational force obeys the inverse square law. And all the planets’ mass combined is insignificantly small compared to our sun. Our own moon exerts magnitudes more force upon the earth than all the planets combined.

Tidal forces of planetary alignments are insanely minuscule.

However, the moron in question will doubtlessly be proved "correct", because earthquakes happen all the damned time. The earth is very geologically active.

Low center of gravity, huh?

You're looking at this wrong. It is extremely likely that there will be earthquakes of greater than 4.5 mag on any given day. I could make the exact same prediction for my birthday, and would most likely be right.

New age earthquake researcher Frank Hoogerbeets...

... who changed his name years ago... used to be Boogereets... the ridicule was too much, even for a “new age earthquake researcher”...

Let me guess... clear emphasis on that last one.

The moon only moves water around, and that’s a damned close planetary body.

The Moon's possible gravitational effects on land movements is far more plausible than that of any planet. Its effects on ocean water could conceivably play at least a very minor role in plate tectonics. Pound for pound, water is very heavy stuff, and its shifting around could potentially have an (minor) impact on the seafloor around subduction zones and seafloor spreading centers.

When the moon is in the Seventh House, and Jupiter aligns with Mars; then peace will guide the planets and love will steer the stars...

Yep, I did think of that. However, an earthquake of greater than 7 magnitude is over 300 times more powerful than a 4.5 earthquake. Unlikely, and fairly rare. I'm willing to take the challenge chance! LOL.

Exactly. But this moe-Ron is saying Jupiter, Venus, Mercury, Mars .... makes the earth move. What a macaca.
