The mayor of Richmond, Virginia on Wednesday said he wants to see the removal of Confederate statues on the city’s famous avenue of monuments. He added, “These monuments should be part of our dark past and not of our bright future. I personally believe they are offensive and need to be removed.”

Offensive, and needs to be removed. By that standard, I’d say a recall is in order.
The City of Richmond is 50 percent black. It used to be closer to 60 percent but gentrification has been doing its thing. The white population is over 40 percent but a lot of these are idiot liberals. The local demographics are a weak spot as far as historic preservation is concerned. Monument Avenue is onel of the most beautiful streets in America. Maybe Monument Avenue needs to secede from Richmond.
Put the subject on the ballot, but make passage conditional upon a public apology from all Democrats for the institution and the perpetuation of slavery in the first place, tearing the country apart in a great civil war.
I want to hear them beg for our forgiveness for the institution of terror in the form of white supremacy by the formation of the KKK nightriders, and for their institution of "Jim Crow" laws by the racist "Dixiecrats" in the 1940's and 50's to "keep their 'nigras' in their place".
And last but not least, I want the DNC and the Congressional Black Caucus to accept their responsibility for the fraud and deception by the corrupt urban Democrat political machine which has destroyed black 2-parent families and kept black communities in a state of perpetual poverty and welfare dependency since the 1960's.
If The Democrats are willing to publicly make those few minor accommodations, then we'll talk about the statues.
What’s next? The WWII Memorial, the Marine Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Wall, Lincoln’s Memorial, Jefferson’s Memorial, Grant’s Tomb, maybe even plow under Arlington Cemetery. These ass holes will turn this nation into another Soviet Union, North Korea, Nazi Germany, Iran, etc. before long.
Too late. They renamed the Confederacy museum in Richmond a few years ago. Now it’s the “Civil War Museum.”
Then wouldn’t they have to rename it “Lack-of-Monument Avenue?” Or “Monument-less Avenue?” Or “Politically Correct Revisionist Boulevard” or something similar?

Read True Believer (1951) by Eric Hoffer. All of this laid out in simple detail on mass movements, push the herd, mob theater, etc. Great book and easily read over a weekend. Eisenhower had all of his staff read the book.

I do have to point out the hypocrisy of the left (AKA Democrat Party) who opposed Emancipation,Reconstruction and ANY integration of freed slaves other than being a less than American (or in many cases an animal). The ugly racism (Jim Crow,poll tax,lynchings etc.) has its roots in the opposition by Democrats (KKK) to Republicans who wanted to integrate freed slaves. I find it ironic Democrats put up these monuments and Democrats want them down and blame Republicans (in reality ALL White People) for ALL injustices cause by the evil Democrat Party.

When all the monuments, plaques, and other reminders to that part of our history are removed from offending the perpetually offended, there should be no mention of slavery, Jim Crow or any of that. Why? Because all the reminders will no longer be in existence. The left will no longer have anything to shove in our face about that. Slavery? Never happened. Yes it did you say? Where are the reminders of it?
Well if only 40% of blacks and Hispanics are against tearing them down, that means the 60% mob rule wants them down.
I think that is the real goal of all of this. Thoroughly trash those that signed the Constitution and then trash the document itself.
