Valar BlaBlaBla
You had to laugh at the scene segue from Sam picking apart Mormonts greyscale to the guy digging into an eerily similar pie.
Agree. appropriately grotesque....
Euron has gone full Ragnar Lothbrook!
Nice reference.... Kill and kill for the sake of killing.....
Will be interesting to see if he ends up like Ragnar....
I have trouble believing a warrior eunuch would ever learn oral sex.
And he is by design not supposed to care about a woman in that was.
The unsullied that went to brothels asking to be held and sung to as if by a mother, that I can believe.
I can't understand this. I thought the first episode was great. I enjoyed it thoroughly, I watched it several times and I was talking about it with my husband and youngest daughter all last week.
That’s something I considered also. He was in a hopeless situation and he was no good to Yara dead. Live to fight another day.
I think that was one of the “Sand Girls”. The one who used a whip and was hung by it.
That was my comment to the tv screen at the closing credits... No Hound?!?! He is a very intesting character now that he has developed a little bit of self reflection, I like his screen time.
Plus...you know...
I hold on to the hope of Cleganebowl.
That's what I thought as well. They were showing Theon's reaction to seeing the body. I assumed that Euron was taking the surviving sandsnake and her mom to Cersei as his "gift". But I could be wrong.
What the?? Are you SERIOUS? I had NO idea there was a GOT thread on Freep! Is this show the greatest show of all time or what?
Not much happened the first episode. Just the beginning with Arya.
Obara Sand (oldest of the Sand Snakes) was impaled by her own spear by Euron.
Nymeria Sand was hung by her own whip by Euron.
Tyene Sand was captured with her mother, Ellaria, and Yara Greyjoy.
Didn’t Maester Aemon pretty much already allude to this in his fever-dream state towards the end? Something like, “we never thought it would be a female”.
This is what’s irritated me so far about this season. The “big reveals” aren’t all that big. Sam finds out there’s dragonglass on Dragonstone. No kidding...Stannis admitted as much a few season earlier.
I miss the intrigue and cleverness of the first few seasons. Seems most of the show now is fan service.
But, I’m hooked, and I’ll see it through to the end.
“I can’t understand this. I thought the first episode was great.”
Me too.
(for those who think differently, I suggest they submit to my tagline... 8^)
>The Showrunners hated Stannis
I think the problem was that the showrunners loved Stannis too much. They made him charismatic. Tough but fair. Someone men would follow.
From my reading the book story needed him to be a stickler for rules, narrow minded and feeling entitled to loyalty without giving back.
The discrepancy became too large so Stannis needed to go.
