I haven’t watched the show, but I’ve read the books....curious though on the show how did Jon survive? Floored me when I read what happened to him in the last book, felt like Martin just decided he was tired and wanted to be done.
Sand Snakes always give attitude like they know they are the toughest fighters in the entire damn world. But I’ve only ever seen them lose their fights. They just suck. Hate them. Hate them. Hate them.
So, she washes his body, lays him on a table says some magic words. Literally says please.
Nothing happens.
They all walk out, then BAM! Jon Snow back from the dead (Kit Harrington must have signed a "Pay or Play" contract)
And everyone is like "oh, that is cool"
Shoot, now returning from the dead is treated like an out patient procedure.
No Biggie.
So, which leds me to believe that in the books, The Red Witch finds Ramsay's letter, freaks the hell out thinking Stannis is dead. Goes to his wife and convinces her that burning her daughter is the only way to bring Stannis back to life "The Prophecy, Prince that was Promised yadda yadda"
BUT, one problem, Stannis hasn't died in the books, so they instead bring back Jon Snow by accident.
The Showrunners hated Stannis, so they just moved up burning the Daughter, made him do it and wrapped up his storyline with a whimper. So later they could say "it was adapted from the books" >:/
BTW — Hot Pie will sit the Iron Throne. It is known.

That was a good scene where Hot Pie told Arya you had to brown the butter first to make a good pie. Arya said she hadn't tried that. Funny!
Good points. The snarky sand snakes got killed. Ellaria and Yara think they deserve to be rulers, but in a major fight, they got captured. Oops.
But of course they had to throw in that bit about the translation of the prophecy not being quite correct and it is “the prince or princess who was promised. Oy.

I just watched it again, and it happened again, only slightly worse this time.
This is why I do not go and see dog movies.
Sigh.
My question to her is, what IS there to see?
I fast-forwarded past that drivel to the good stuff.
My only disappointment is my usual one; “No Hound”.

You had to laugh at the scene segue from Sam picking apart Mormont’s greyscale to the guy digging into an eerily similar pie.
Have you heard GRRM’s recent comments about Beric Dondarrion? He used the “w” word, I hadn’t realized that.
Jon’s res is gonna be a lot less seamless in the book.
