‘Justine did not have to die’: Police chief condemns bride-to-be shooting

MINNEAPOLIS — The fatal shooting of an Australian woman by a Minneapolis police officer responding to her 911 call “should not have happened,” police Chief Janee Harteau said Thursday, adding that the officer’s actions “go against who we are in the department.”

In her first public remarks since the death of Justine Damond, a 40-year-old life coach and bride-to-be, Harteau defended Officer Mohamed Noor’s training but criticized his actions.

“The actions in question go against who we are in the department, how we train and the expectations we have for our officers,” Harteau said. “These were the actions and judgment of one individual.”

Even in the medical field, someone has to graduate last.

Amen to THAT!

What is NOT well known is that 50% of our Doctors are below average!

I can’t tell with the ravenous frenzy if I’m witnessing educated arguments or an emotional tirade on full display.

There are elements of both here.

...his history doesn’t point to that or any violence in the name of Islam. Thus far the only thing proven is that it was a careless shooting for now with more to come out.

More than a careless shooting. This guy was a ticking time bomb, if you will excuse the overused idiom. He had 3 complaints filed against him. What were those complaints? Did those complaints indicate that he has animus toward women or other certain groups?
These questions come in addition to what is mentioned in another article: “He is just a trigger-happy, panicky, reckless individual who held his job not because he was fit for it, but because of what he symbolized.”

This incessant need to make it more than it is in the present is ideaology and that is just as dangerous as Muslim fanatisism.

Really? A person jumping to conclusions or attributing more to a situation than may be present in his or her comments on the Internet are as dangerous as Muslim fanaticism?
Everyone has ideological beliefs. I daresay that there are few as dangerous as radical Islam or their handmaidens, the Communists.

Translation: “The public isn’t reacting well to our usual coverup so we may have to throw the officer under the bus after all.”

If this had been a local white woman instead of a foreign national white woman the coverup would be proceeding much more smoothly than it currently is. The big bump in the road for the police department is the International Incident aspect of this. They really don’t give a sh*t about the murder itself. It’s just the international brouhaha that is unnerving them making them “issue” meaningless “statements” like “this is not who we are”.

And of course, behind the scenes, the liberal think-tanks all over America are working late every night (I bet pizza deliveries are way up) trying to come up with a formula to tie this into the narrative that “America has too many guns”.

The average IQ of a Somali is 68. In America, anything under 70 is considered retarded. The Minneapolis police department handed a badge and gun to a retard and is shocked at the outcome.

Here’s the question that NO journalist will ever ask the Minneapolis Chief:

“How do you feel now that your celebrated affirmative action hire of Officer Noor has resulted in his murdering one of the innocent citizens who not only pays your salary, but that you and hundreds of other MPD officers swore to protect and serve”?

TWO inexperienced cops working together in the same squad car? Is that “procedure”?

3 years experience BETWEEN them.

Yes tying everything to a terrorist act or as the basis for ones actions is just as dangerous. I work with highly paid professional Muslims in technology and they are not involved in anything terror related.

Working people into a frenzy with no basis of fact as of yet tying a bad shooting to terrorism is yes just as bad.

It’s not far removed from a Klan rally

Actually, I was responding to a post that was making a distinction between manslaughter and murder.

We Civilians see murder being a matter of someone being killed for a good reason or for a not so good reason

There’s no doubt this guy shot over top of his partner through a car door. No one has even whispered that she was armed.

2 male cops can’t control a lone female short of shooting her through a car door? C’mon.

Training he received much earlier in life. Training that taught him that women in “offensive” clothing where whores and deserved to be raped and murdered.

Since he is refusing to talk, the DA should prosecute him with murder 1. The reason being that the pajama clad woman “offended” him so he shot her.

Sudden jihad syndrome. The sight of a pajama-clad woman triggered the Islam in him so he killed her.

Avoid hiring jihadis, period.

My son recently became a police officer after waiting almost a year to pass the required background/psychological/physical tests. And after passing all those tests, he had to pass a lie detector test that was pretty thorough in determining his outlook on police work and society. All this comes after the events in Ferguson, and is located near where the riots took place. If he had been with the police at the time, he would have been standing there on the front line with riot gear while the punks threw spit and piss at him.

The police in the St Louis area are keenly aware of the problems police face, and are very serious when it comes to getting recruits that will know how to handle a badge and a gun in the most tense situations.

On the other hand, it looks as though the Minneapolis Police hired Noor based on his looks and culture rather than his ability to be an effective police officer.

I expect the Damond family to sue the city of Minneapolis, and in this case, I hope the city and its liberal taxpayers have to pay a ton of money for their recklessness in hiring a person unfit for the job.

My guess is that they knew he was unfit from the beginning, but was accepted just because of his nationality.

The unlawful killing of another human being without justification or excuse. Murder is perhaps the single most serious criminal offense. ... The term malice aforethought did not necessarily mean that the killer planned or premeditated on the killing, or that he or she felt malice toward the victim.

Exactly....the story is a lie......... witness “multiple shots fired”.......police radio “multiple shots fired”....and the partners lawyer “multiple shots fired”.....

well multiple shots from 2 feet away .....probly dont miss....

someone decided to control this narrative from the start....

“Noor is currently on paid administrative leave, along with the other officer that was on scene. The second officer has been identified as Matthew Harrity, according to his attorney Fred Bruno.”

“Bruno said Harrity was driving the squad car and Noor was in the passenger seat. Police sources tell KARE 11 Noor reached across Harrity and fired several shots out the window, striking Damond.”
