I liked it, though there were many tangents that separated from the main narrative. I thought the Roger Stone character was an awesome addition to the show. I did think, however, some of the ways the Underwood's dealt with the characters in the season were a bit melodramatic.

Best part of show. I have no idea why promote the President gay lifestyle. Without it the the story would be exactly the same. Doesn’t add or take away.
I thought season four was a bit of a dud.
Season 5 so far (I am watching it on netfix) gets back into having Frank at center stage and honestly I find him a more compelling character than his wife.
Perhaps Kevin Spacy is just a better actor. Let me put it this way, if there was a Frank Underwood spin off I would tune in, Clare Underwood spinoff? Not likely.
I always think of the Underwoods as being modeled on Bill and Hillary Clinton with some Obama sprinkled in.
Definitely better to me than The West Wing was :)

Anything is better than that tripe.
My son in law quoted WW to me. AssH***
I got out a couple of years ago when it looked like a homo three way was developing between Spacey, his wife and a male SS agent.

Frankly, they keep most of the sex off stage and I think their twisted sex life is a good commentary on their twisted little leftist minds. Remember other leftists like the Clintons, Wiener and a host of others.
All sick people. And it comes out there too.
XDDD
LOL- tell me you did not photoshop that.
No, my son said someone told him about it, and he found it on line.
I give you that. But imho HofC has just gone on too long for me and its as depressing as seeing the Clintons get away with everything. Like them I wanted to see the Underwoods and their fixer dead. I’d tune back in for that.
I am a big fan of the original British series with Ian Richardson playing Francis. The first two seasons were the best. Season 3 was so so and they knew they had to kill the character off and they did.
The Netflix version was pretty good the first season ans kind of followed the British one. They lost me at the end of season 2 when Frank, Claire and his Secret Service agent had a three way. That was it for me.
They have probably milked this thing as far as it can go. Should have probable done like the Brits and killed Frank off at the end of season 3.
I am in the same boat. Typically I would watch all the new episodes in the new season in one weekend. Well it’s been out since Tuesday and I have only watched the first episode so far. Not into it right now. I really hate the First Lady character played by Robin Wright. When it started and she had her own business, she was interesting even in her mean way, but since she is in politics....yuk. Now I didn’t mind her scheming with her husband in early seasons but now it is too in your face. I will eventually get through it because I am hoping that somehow it will get better along the way. Season 4 sucked in my opinion and that is another reason why I am so not into it this season.
Interesting that Amazon has Zinn’s book the People’s History... as a book that people would buy with Patriot’s History.
I cannot imagine that is true.
I guess that Bezos is manipulating his algorythems to push leftist causes.
algorithms sorry
lol....Caught your eye did it?
My son caught it.
Actually MANY college courses use both to show “different viewpoints”.
Hard to hear that Zinn’ s perspective is given any credence anywhere.
Thought it was a high school text????
That is such a great way to put the importance of showing their type of sex life, Chickensoup. They are empty people. Soulless. Even though Claire is the sickest of the two, I am still rooting for her to destroy FU.
No, it was originally intended as a college book. yes, it is given a lot of credence. Fortunately, if we get an even shot, there’s no contest.
