I’ve heard the scope might have even been crooked or dodgey though on that rifle.

In the Warren Commission report it states that the FBI had to shim the scope two times just to get a bullet into the field of view. And even then the scope would not stay on target once fired. So one must assume that in that picture Oswald might be lucky just to hit the car let alone the head. http://22november1963.org.uk/oswald-rifle-and-paraffin-tests#fn05_001

Thanks for that. Barney Ross; he looks very interesting, I’m aware of the few oldtimers but I did not know about him.

Barney Ross had a great life cut short by cancer. His boxing career AND his military career are both legendary. He took enormous pride in America, his Jewish heritage, and his own toughness.

He would run into Dorothy Kilgallen in the Stork Club. The other club of most renown in NYC was El Morocco. The two clubs were frequented by the Kennedys, Hollywood stars, Babe Cushing Paley and Bill Paley (of CBS), writers like Truman Capote, and all manner of the rich and famous.

It was Kilgallen’s business to be a regular club girl since she had a gossip column and for many years broadcast a chatty-about-town show from her own breakfast room.

Per my reading, Ruby was upset that the “Jews would be blamed for JFK’s death”, so this is why he went out and shot Oswald. I don’t know if that is in the Warren report but I have heard that.

And Ross seems to have defended the dignity of the Jews, I have heard Ruby did that in Chicago as well.

Because Ruby saw flyers of the JFK wanted poster in Dallas and then, he saw the name at the bottom, Bernard Weissman. I’ll just post a link to a copy of it.

https://stevenhager420.files.wordpress.com/2013/11/jfk_24_flyer1.jpg

I’ve read a bit into this, Weissman was said to be a Jewish (John) Bircher with a sort of offshoot organization. Weismann was still alive not that long ago and here is his testimony for the Warren Commission.

http://mcadams.posc.mu.edu/russ/testimony/weissma2.htm

I’m sure Weissman had no connections to the JFK assassination but they put that flyer out (with JFK wanted on the front) and it must have really stunned him.

One who has explosive information that will damage powerful or sometimes not so powerful people had best announce it without any prior warning. If one says he has such information and is credible then one is calling for his own assassination. If the information is simply announced very publicly that is usually the insurance necessary to avoid being killed. Assassination is a risky business. it is used for preventing information being revealed. Killing someone who has revealed information is taking a risk of being found out for no good reason- the info is already out there- and will serve to emphasize the importance of the information. How many conservatives in the last few years have said they were about to blow the lid off something or had information that would bare a leftist plot, was killed before publicizing the information? Breitbart comes to mind.

My error, I guess the image: https://stevenhager420.files.wordpress.com/2013/11/jfk_24_flyer1.jpg

Was an ad put in the Dallas paper; so, it’s something like what I said in the previous post. So many facts and details in this case.

Now, I don’t know who put out the “wanted poster”; maybe JBS, maybe others.

Wonder if Miriam Carey should be properly listed among them also.

Dorothy Kilgallen, a reporter and quiz show personality, is always among those on the “mysterious deaths” lists. Supposedly, she was about to “blow the lid” off the conspiracy.

In this essay, historian Eric Paddon does not discuss the circumstances of her death (which the medical examiner didn’t consider sinister), but rather the question of whether she actually knew anything that might threaten a supposed conspiracy.

Had she learned something new about the assassination, or was she just repeating standard conspiracy buff stuff? How might Kilgallen have gotten critical information that would have allowed her to “blow” the conspiracy? - According to Gary Wills and Ovid Demaris, (Jack Ruby, page 72):

Conspiratorialists of the wilder variety believe that Dorothy Kilgallen had a private interview [with Jack Ruby], one that caused her death.

This tete-a-tete never took place: she leaned over the rail and talked to Jack in the open courtroom during a break in the proceedings. Lawyer Joe Tonahill, who hoped to collaborate with Miss Kilgallen on a book, arranged the brief exchange, and was present at it.

But the important thing, as John Leyden has pointed out, is that Kilgallen didn’t die “mysteriously” until 20 months after the interview. Darn patient reporter who can sit on a big story that long.

If anybody other than Oswald was involved, we will never know because the people who otherwise might have done it were nothing if not thorough. And ruthless.

If it wasn’t Oswald, then the people who killed the people who killed the assassin(s) all were dead before sundown and buried in unmarked graves out past Terlingua.

Still baffles me why people don’t keep an envelope of that info in a friend’s safe deposit box to anonymously send to the media in case of sudden “suicide” or other death.

How hard can that be? Write down all your evidence, sources, documentation. Make 4 copies placed in pre addressed envelopes. Give to friend. Upon death, one goes to the Slines, one to the Compost, one to the Urinal and one to the LA Slimes.

Somebody is bound to publish it.

Why do people spout off with public info they know puts them at risk for death with no backup plan?

I guess first nobody seriously thinks they will be assassinated. Then, I guess they figure what good is it if they are dead.

I don’t know where you are getting your information on the murder of officer Tippet, but there was more than one witness and they picked him out of a lineup that night and the next day.

There were other witnesses who identified Oswald as he went from the murder scene to the Texas theater.

"The view of Kennedy through Oswald's rifle scope is thought to have looked like this. . ."

So the real conspiracy here is the peculiar relationship between JFK and Gov. Connally? I had no idea the governor had such a close companionship with Kennedy that he rode in the car on the man's lap. And this was WAY before Obama and Reggie...
