For a long time Alisyn Camerota was reluctant to describe the dark side of working at Fox News.
She respects many of her former colleagues. She has close friends who work there. But she perceives that something has changed now that the channel's CEO Roger Ailes and biggest star Bill O'Reilly have been ousted by the Murdoch family.
"It feels as though, if I take the Murdochs at their word, they really want to know what was wrong there and what the culture was like," Camerota said.
And there was something profoundly wrong. In an interview on CNN's "Reliable Sources," Camerota said publicly for the first time that she was one of Ailes' targets.
"Yes, Roger Ailes did sexually harass me," Camerota said.

Indeed, in today's world, never comment on a woman's appearance; never meet with any woman alone, always have a third party present; never touch a woman other than a handshake or allow them to touch you, never comment on any current or political issue that than be taken to offend a woman or any other protected class, etc. It is a dangerous world and you are now hunted game.
I was accused of sexual harassment once by a nasty woman who found out I was about to initiate disciplinary proceedings against her for poor work performance. It was complete B.S. but as a man I was, of course, guilty until proven innocent. I used the company’s grievance process and eventually prevailed and had my record expunged. It took 15 months. Never, NEVER give in if you are innocent and believe in yourself because its hard to stop a man when he knows he’s right and keeps on coming.
Oh, for crying out loud.
Make all the females on Fox News wear gunny sacks, then.
Shemp hit on me. HONK! Does that count?
That’s the problem with Fox — they caved in to Carlson almost immediately and gave her something in the neighborhood of $25M. That opened the flood gates to cash in for all the other teleprompter-reading bimbos whose contracts were not renewed or who didn’t get the show or job they wanted.
She said she would push back, arguing that her job as a journalist was to present both conservative and liberal viewpoints. "He said 'there is no other side.' In Roger's world view, there was no other side. Liberals were always wrong, conservatives were generally right, and that's what he felt that we should be reflecting on the air."
Now she's at CNN where all the anchors push liberal view points. The only other side is for the conservative guests they have on to get a conservative view point because no one there has one.
Based on sworn statements made to a court that this stuff was going on quite a bit. The guy sounds like an old school pig.
Most people around FR are, by nature, polite and would never act like that without having to be told. That kind of behavior would make us cringe. Anyone who has work in a company in the last thirty years has been taught that this is wrong.
This stuff starts at the top. I am glad that they are getting rid of these people.
Reading the article makes me realize that everyone at Fox News is essentially liberal (except for a few people).
The mistake that Ailes made was hiring a bunch of liberals and having them pretend to be conservatives. If he had hired real conservatives he probably wouldn’t be seeing the network torn apart right now.
I thought liberal women LOVED the whole Madmen culture. I guess they love it only when it’s at liberal news agencies.
As a matter of fact, Alisyn Camerota sexually harassed me!
Any woman you work with can make this accusation.
Best to avoid them like the colleges and universities of today.
Pretty sure this Bandwagon is going to have a flat tire soon......OVERLOADED. If any of this happened, why didn’t they complain about it WHEN IT HAPPENED???
...”why didnt they complain about it WHEN IT HAPPENED???”....
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.$$$$$$$$$
As isaid. I recall this as not new. I don’t know
Glad to see it happened to someone else. Twenty years ago, I had a woman tell me “I’m going to get you, and it’s going to be bad.” I had complained about her coming and going as she pleased. Next thing I know, all my fellow employees were being interviewed about my conduct without my knowledge. It is indeed the scarlet letter.
She charged me with kissing her on the cheek the previous Christmas when she gave me a gift. I had done it. She had been fighting with me for awhile, and I wrote and kept very good notes that ultimately saved me. I was found innocent at the first level of investigation. I left the job and changed careers twelve years short of my pension. I did it to save my health. I’m still paying for it.
Men have no recourse when attacked this way. It’s a horrible system and we are the prey. They can accuse you of anything at any time. It used to be safe to comment on a woman’s hair. Don’t even do that. Nothing is safe when dealing with women in the workplace.
I can't - even though the other three letters are there...
That too
Id let her
OH GRUD!!!!!! Why can’t these “sweeties” just tell these “kinds of employers” “sweetly” NO!
