The prime time program shuffle resulting from the Bill O'Reilly departure from Fox News Channel is seriously flawed, and will fail quickly with a massive loss of viewers of "The Five".....now slated for the 9:00PM time slot. The show is boring, with only one member of "The Five" worth her salt {KG), and, it is not Dana Perino, who is terrible. The three males are losers with little substance. Bob Beckel and Juan Williams are not dummies...but 100% empty suits!!!
The winning line up would be:
- Martha McCallum at 7:00PM - Tucker Carlson at 8:00PM - Jesse Watters at 9:00PM - Sean Hannity at 10:00PM
A winning combination, IMHO!!!
I like the show but rarely watch. I did watch one night when they were on at 9 o’clock during the election period and they all complained about how late they had to be at work and how horrible their lives were and how unfair they have to work past their work day. This is quite karma for them.
I think Bolling’s show at 5 will fail quickly and Jesse Watters will be given that time slot.
Judge Jeanine is starting a new show next month on Fox TV Network. A Judge show.
What goes around, comes around. Snarky Megyn started their demise.
Stopped watching. Catch the Fox Business for news.
OAN is on DirecTV now on channel 347. Also on Uverse.
Whatever happened to plain evening news? Seems it’s a thing of the long ago past anymore. Are not all of these evening Fox ‘news’ shows just talking heads who give their opinions about current events? I’d far rather read other FReepers comments about ‘news’ rather than any of the talking heads on TeeVee. It seems like the talking heads are some kind of sports figures or Hollywood actors that people idolize or something. “Yeah! You say it Hannity!” “That’s telling ‘em Tucker!!!”
Jesse Watters is replacing Eric on The Five.
I'd be a frequent 'audience'..........
I’m glad he got his own show but you are right. I think he would be great on The Five.
I wish they would keep the 5 on at 5pm. I like the show and don’t mine Beckel. I can’t stand the other 2 libs that are on the show.
I usually can’t watch much of it at 5 but by 9 pm I’m asleep or I should be. I get up at 4:45 am.
I’ve no interest in fox now. I hope Jesse Waters and Dennis Miller work it out okay.
The five is too intellectually light. The worst offender is Juan Williams who should just fax the DNC talking points in. Next comes Bob Beckel, Burned out Drug addict / alcoholic who rages when he’s corrected or the discussion doesn’t go his way. I wonder if they velcro him into the chair.
Next is Dana Perino. She’s not a talking head, she’s a nodding head. I love dogs. Stop talking about your dogs. Greg Gutfeld Sometimes puts in a good observation, but he’s a different type of funny. He’s mean funny. Kimberly Guilfoyle can at least stare into the camera while delivering her pitch, which is usually mainstream conventional wisdom. What I like about Kimberly is she knows that attractive women like to look attractive. There’ll be no sexual harassment accusations from her, but still nobody on this show say’s anything profound.
Eric Bolling is different. He’s like the guy with an IQ of 125. They know what is wrong and how they feel and how others should feel about a certain issue. You can see it in his face. He just doesn’t have the ability to sell it convincingly.
Special mention for Geraldo Rivera — Imagine Kim Kardashion naked, bending over and mooning the camera. Some see a perfect ass, I see a total ass. (totally greg gutfeld right?)
Let’s see ...
Bret Baer perfect poise in delivery. He looks up from the desk papers like a College Wrestler about to engage. You can see the hidden glee leak through on negative Trump stories and he helps push it along but not as much as ....
Shepard Smith. His delivery is appalling. I feel like I just met a Gay Wino street preacher for the few seconds I see him while diving for the remote.
Brit Hume. Wasted his opportunity. The bemused delivery grows old fast when you can really sense he’s an Alien from another world.
The morning crew is good. they’re light hearted but they’re supposed to be in the A.M. Fox would have been better elevating one of them (not the young guy) to the evening slot. Did they even consider Sharyl Attkisson? Even under just a temporary contract or has Attkisson’s misdeeds not been fully revealed?
As for fox? They have a problem. O’Reilly was just an objective. They targeted Hannity first but pulled off and went silent for a while ... Some idle talk in that period of other women making general claims with no attribution and no target. Then bam! The deluge on O’Reilly — who in all likelihood did nothing more than express interest in women and moved on if rejected.
Fox’s problem is they are the target and the advertisers are lining up against them. They’re sudden increase in ‘in house’ commentators as guests. They’re not putting up a fight. If you called for help me and millions of others would have come running — but you choose to sell out.
Check out One America News (OAN).
The Murdoch boys and wives will destroy the network. Hillary at 8pm, Lezzy Warren at 9pm, Bernie at 10pm, The Schumers at 11.
E-—gads..they’ve got Perino on the 8:00! Spare me!
Read books - forget tv. You will be more informed.
Thanks - I couldn’d find them for a long time!
...”indicator of the ‘coarsening’ of the culture”...
Yes.
“Time for an honest, truthful, loyal 100% Conservative Cable Channel!!!”
Agree. Past time actually.
Correct. Jesse Watters was being groomed for B.O’s position anyway. I’d watch Jesse Watters in a heartbeat. The Five? Meh.
Tucker Carlson’s Fox show is akin to Firing Line without Buckley’s sanctimony. Just add a small audience and that’d do it, youngster.
