The proud parents of twin boys in New York found out why their toddlers seemed like they hadn't been sleeping through the night. Because the toddlers definitely were not sleeping.
Video recorded by Jonathan and Susana Balkin on their Nest home monitoring system shows 2-year-old twins, Andrew and Ryan having a gymnastics roll-around instead of getting much-needed sleep.
The boys easily climbed in and out of their cribs, which are side-by-side in their shared bedroom. They proceeded to line pillows along the floor and do summersaults, and then took rests on the couch together, before going back to their floor exercises.
Dad enters the room and puts the boys back in their cribs, then places the mountain of pillows and covers back in their rightful places around the room. But the calm was only temporary. As soon as dad left, they were back at it.

I hear you but sometimes all you can do is hope for the best.
I don’t know what they could do to wear them out a little more during the day.
My kids swam for a few years and their food intake doubled and they virtually never fought.
One week after swim team practice was over for the season, they were at each other’s throats again.
Something about wearing them out makes a big difference in their behavior.
Well, I think Schultze is right about getting them ‘junior’ beds. The cribs obviously are not containing the little rascals, and at least they’d be safer.
Wow. Cool video. Wish there was a real time marker on it.
I do believe I saw where Chelsea C. has something to do with Dictionary.com, among other things like Expedia.
Watched this earlier and laughed. Boys! And Twins too boot. Those poor parents.
Our daughter could climb out of her crib at 11 months. She would wake up during the night (while we were sleeping) and wander around, including climbing on the counter to get something to eat. On the weekend she turned two, she went outside.
It was terrifying to wake up at 6:30 that morning and find that she was missing. We were visiting my parents at their brand new lake home. It took us 20 minutes to find her.
I can’t imagine having to protect two of her!! Each kid humbled us, but she (#4) brought me to my knees. I finally learned that it is online by the grade of God that kids make it through childhood and that it isn’t always “bad parenting” when a kid is particularly difficult. Some are just plain tough.
When my two oldest sons were 5 and 6 years old, I knew their future.
One would surely wind up in jail for killing the other and I didn’t know which would be which.
Fortunately, it didn’t work out that way and now in their 40s, they have been the best of friends for a long time.
Yikes. That poor girl never had a chance to learn how the world really ought to be. Brainwashed to be an apparatchik from birth.
You’re on solid ground there.
Having been some days in preparation a splendid time is guaranteed for all.
Hey!
I thought the milk with a little rum was for the parents!
Isnt this a little scarily smart for 2 year olds?
you separate the kids with one in the bedroom the other sleeping on mom and dads bed. you do this a couple of nights. my guess is that they wont like sleeping alone if they are real close and partners in crime.
Wouldn’t be surprised if them two were to invent a flying machine or some like thing.
Ritalin. /s
My boy began climbing over the rails at 9 months!
We installed giant floor pillows
Not sure why we didn’t get a lower bed......this has been many ago
As soon as I was able to pull myself up to a standing position in my crib, my sister held out her hands and I grabbed them and we pulled our cribs together. The noise had my mother running up the stairs to see what happened. We laughed like idiots. I still remember this vividly although I must have been quite young. People are always telling me I can’t remember things because I was too little. But I do.
And the leftist idiots tell us that the differences between boys and girls are learned behavior.
It’s how they are raised.
right.....
The only one that annoys me is people spelling lose as loose. I don’t know why, but “loose” always annoys me.
Our daughter and son in law are expecting identical twins in July - and they have a soon to be 4 year old daughter.
Fun in store!!! also- once they can climb out of their crib, no more crib was our policy when our 4 daughters were growing up. Toddler beds would be safer although would not stop the antics.
LMAO!!!
