He caused a furor last year when he teased plot details about the sixth season of Game Of Thrones.
And now series star Ian McShane has walloped the hornet's nest once more by dragging up the way the fans reacted to it.
Having spoken publicly about storylines including the return of The Hound, and his own character [Brother Ray], fans went into meltdown at the spolier-esque nature of his words.
But a year on and it still bemuses the former Lovejoy star.

If GOT fans didn't want to hear spoilers from McShane, they shouldn't haunt GOT message boards looking for every tidbit they can find about the show. I follow the show, BTW, but it's not that important.

"He previously dismissed Game Of Thrones - on which he portrays a repentant soldier who nursed The Hound back to health after he was left for dead by Arya Stark - as just being about 't*ts and dragons'." Like that's a bad thing.

Well there's more than just that, not that any of that matters as much. I like shows with dragons.

They refer to him as a “series star” but wasn’t he only in one episode?
What does it take these days for someone to become a “star”?

I've thought the TV show was ridiculous since the first episode.
The books on the other hand - the first three books were absolutely terrific and were all published within a span of 5 or 6 years. The last two books are terrible, and took Martin over 10 years to write and publish. The next book may well take Martin another 10 years to write by itself, but I've lost interest in the entire story at this point. Martin has spent years and thousands of words in the last two books on trivial plot points, his characters seem to be as directionless as he is, and it's evident that he doesn't know how to get to the ending of his story.
These days, guys like Joe Abercrombie write material every bit as good as Martin's, they don't take decades to finish it, and they know how to finish a story.

I tell the chppies wanting to sell me direct TV at costco or wally world that I don’t allow the one eyed god (my euphemism for tv) into my home. They get a deer in the headlights look before they retreat. I love it. my wife hates when I do it, of course I’m lying, but I try not to let tv run any part of my life.

I was watching something (I don’t remember what) where they portray the creative director of GOT as a 14-YO kid. His answer to everything is “more boobies!”
Having watched a season, I think they got it pretty correctly.
