Apparently, according to Rush, there's a price to be paid for following the law.
It seems that price is always paid by law-abiding citizens.
So a child who was brought here at age 2 and grew up here should be deported to a strange place?
AFAIK, only the foreign country can renounce the citizenship of one of its citizens.
The new naturalized citizen probably has to go to the foreign consulate and say "I no longer want to be a citizen of (fill in the blank). Then they go through that country's legal means of renouncement.
I am ok with dreamers being all sent home. Don’t get me wrong. But if I had to “give” anywhere on border security, illegals, and anchor babies, I would “give” on those USA-patriotic older teens and early 20s ONLY.
We won’t get a FR utopia.
No, I’m not ok with illegal aliens at all. But we can’t have perfection in these deals.
YEs, next question.
They should be deported along with their parents. I’m not for giving special privileges to an entire category of people.
As a rule, yes. That said, the deportation process includes hearings for the exception case.
I would assume that the "grown up" is still with his/her parents, as we are talking about "dreamers" up to age 23. They would go where their parents go.
Are they orphaned "dreamers," their parents deceased since bringing them here? Then the hearings might find for the exception.
Are they full adults now? Then they are no longer "dreamers" and would be covered by standard immigration law.
But the rule has to be applied in order to be an effective deterrent to the next wave of "dreamers."

Yeah, I heard the cave. I was wondering what Rush and Trump talked about a few weeks ago....now we know.
The child goes with the parents .
The left doesn't really care about the dreamers--it was always the camel's nose under the amnesty tent. I predict they may not even get that because they are not negotiating from strength, honesty or rationality.
The parents broke the law--and should NEVER be allowed citizenship.
I see that TGKC replied back to let you know she’s not New Girl :)
Agree...all will start working out, once everything starts rolling. We have to start somewhere....and take one step at a time, amigo :)
If we could somehow eternally prohibit the patents from ever becoming citizens, that would do the trick. Combined with voter ID and FINES for the parents. (Why not? It would help build the WALL)...
Rush is dead wrong upside wise. NEVER show the LeftistBorg fear. It will attack the weakness and likely prevail with your own fear as a personal refrence. BIG BIG MISTAKE if Trump buys into this.
If the parent is deported, the child must follow. You really don't want to break up families. If the child is an adult, they have still came into the country illegally, and are illegal aliens.
That being said, I personally would not have a problem with them returning to the US, if and only if they themselves have not committed an additional crime, since coming with their parents, and do not belong to La Raza or any other separatist organization.
The way I look at it, Trump and his people are very cleverly winnowing down their number. As soon as any of them come to the attention of INS, then what’s looked at? Any fraud regarding lying to a government agency or any act that is potentially a crime, including obtaining social benefits under false pretenses. My interpretation is that people who registered to vote, claiming falsely to be citizens, have committed fraud. Ditto for anyone who has fraudulently and illegally voted in any election. Thus, one woman who was deported was found to have voted illegally 5 times. How did they know that? They must have checked, looking for any fraud or potential crime she committed. Do DACA students vote? Have any registered to vote? Keep in mind, too, that some states have allowed out-of-state students to be considered in-state students so long as they live in the university’s state for a certain time, get driver’s licenses for that state, and register to vote. Can you imagine DACA illegals registering to vote to get cheaper in-state tuition? As they find illegal aliens, then the research begins. How many can say they have not committed fraud at any time on any government application?
“Its called the art of the deal. When you make a deal, you dont get 100%, but if you make a good deal, you get the things that matter the most. Getting 80% of the illegals deported is a hecuvalot better then getting 2 or 3% under TUPOT (the unillustrious predecessor of Trump).”
I agree.
If we get the Southern border wall, the 10,000 new immigration enforcement officers, aggressive enforcement of existing immigration laws, deportation of violent criminals and most of the other illegal immigrants, and enforcement of penalties against business who knowingly hire illegal immigrants, I could be okay with the Dreamers staying in the country (case-by-case basis).
“That is how I heard it. The dreamers will be tended to but they are down the list of priorities.”
I thought this was what Rush was getting at as well. There are bigger fishes to fry in terms of our immigration problems right now.
Schemers.
Yes.
If there were zero welfare state, I would be hard-line libertarian.
You do realize that the Congress, maybe ESPECIALLY the GOP members, are hopelessly devoted to “dreamers”, and that DJT has about all the Congress trouble he can handle, don’t you?
Until he sends Mattis to arrest them all, the DREAM Act (and Obamacare) are done deals.
