Health officials would not reveal the name of the employee. But a parent told CBS2s Rachel Kim that the woman was a third-grade teacher at Montara Avenue Elementary School in South Gate.
The parent said school and health officials met with parents on campus Friday night. One mother said she was given instructions on medication to give her child.
...
Parents said they want the campus cleaned before allowing their children back to school and plan to hold a protest on campus Monday morning.

This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
I still want the CDC to release all the information on diseases that Obama and the illegal alien “children” brought into the country!
If they want the school ‘cleaned’ they have to start with the illegal invader’s children whose families are bringing Third World diseases here! Imagine the diseases we are NOT told about that are being brought here!
Protesting against themselves.
One of their own brought it across the border.
Build that wall.
What is the probability %, that this killer bug came from an Illegal child or worker at the school?
Based on the few pictures available on the school’s webpage, the students are all Hispanic or black.
Thanks.
Maybe the BLMers need to protest the admission illegal kids, aka germ bombs into their schools instead trying to kill cops.

Please ping me with any Southern California related articles. Thank you!

Post to me or FReep mail to be on/off the Bring Out Your Dead ping list.
The purpose of the Bring Out Your Dead ping list (formerly the Ebola ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the Bring Out Your Dead threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
If a quarantine saves just one child's life, it's worth it.
So, does the South Gate neighborhood have a lot of illegals?
that stands for Los Angeles Unified School District I think...
A few years ago a census had at least 50% of people residing in Los Angeles County as speaking Spanish as their FIRST language...imagine the glut of illegal alien students with no vetting for diseases and no inoculations...who would dare keep them out of school ???
the kid sitting next to yours could be a ticking bomb for diseases we have eradicated years ago...
The bacterium is communicable via bodily secretions
How many other students in that classroom may have also been exposed, and then after school, possibly exposed their family members ?
How many children in that classroom remain unvaccinated, and now are at risk ? There needs to be a medical facility in immigrant dense population areas, similar to Ellis Island, to prevent spread of diseases.
It's a gram negative diplococcus and Neisseria are just nasty bugs in general.
They need to open up Ellis Island style quarantine and testing to stop importing diseases.
I’m surprised that the school didn’t require the teachers to be vaccinated for this illness. If she was living on campus when she went to college, many schools require the meningitis vaccine as well.
I’m not advocating for vaccines, just curious.
