Gorsuch had the temerity to criticize the person who has nominated him to a life-time SCOTUS position......with his comments that criticized Trump's style, I think that Gorsuch has disqualified himself to fulfill the position for which Trump has nominated him.......Gorsuch has outed himself as a fellow "Spineless John Roberts"
First we have to find out who recommended Gorsuch to the President.
We need the facts. Blumenthal said “He said very specifically that they were demoralizing and disheartening and he characterized them very specifically that way,”
Sounds kind of weasly to me but we’ll see.
I’m not worried about it. He’s trying to get confirmed. By all indications he’s rock solid on the bench.
My first thoughts were that he is a POS, much like Roberts and he's the LAST person we need on the bench...AND we need to know WHO suggested him to the president.
Then I thought....maybe he's lying, with the extremely stupid and naive idea that he can get some Dems to vote for him, this way.
Sadly, my first thoughts are probably the correct ones.
Thoughts?
I think it is an attempt to become known as nuanced.
As far as I’m concerned, I won’t believe he said that until I hear him say it himself. All I heard was a snakey-looking congress critter SAYING the judge said it. Was he lying, or was he tryinging to get the judge to say something to be used against the judge in his confirmation?
Blumenthal lied about his military service, so why should I believe what he has to say?

Considering the state of affairs regarding the media, I would want to see the FULL CONTEXT of what Gorush actually said, not some parsed phrases picked for publication.
We know the media has a long history of cutting and editing with the intention of misleading the public.
What did he say about Trump? Content is helpful.
Other than Senator Blumenthal, has anyone testified that he actually said that? Has anyone asked Judge Gorsuch? Why do you trust a Democratic senator’s word?
A Democrat who lies more than your usual Democrat said he said those things.
I’m not ready to throw him overboard on that.
Folks are taking Blumenthal's word for this?
Geez.
So you’re going to accept what Blumenthal said to the media that he says Gorsuch said over what you believed just yesterday? You might want to look up the definition of lily-livered. Just to make sure your picture is not use as an example.
I guess in the long run, we have to look to Judicial Record, which (from our perspective) is rather favorable.
4d chess. Makes him acceptable to libs for a vote but not a big deal. This is not anti conservatism. Trust me. He said it because he had to to stay ok with the legal bar club. Chill out.
