Water canons work wonders. Why are they not used anymore. If I was a mayor of one of these cities, the FD water canons would be on 24/7 standby and the first inkling of protesters would get hosed off the street as soon as they arrived. No shutting down streets and public thoroughfares.

I live an hour up in the sticks from Sacramento and I
met and a few Sacramentans who seem pretty decent
conservative types. I even became friends thru a Sac State night class with a guy
who was a liason for the state Republican
legislative caucus. Anyway, you are the first person
I’ve ever heard about that knows absolutely everyone
in SacTown. Impressive. Like Austin, TX the
town leans left with all the state workers and
politicians from even more liberal areas but some
people are pretty much OK. If you really knew
the same people I know you might even have worded
your swipe at levity a little differently.
