In so many twitter posts about the wall you will invariable see the snide snotty liberal counter argument: "So you built a wall, but ladders and tunnels are a thing" (I'm such a clever smart liberal, so smug and intelligent).
I for one am getting sick of these idiots who don't realize that the wall is only part of the plan of enforcing the border and Making America Safe again.
So i am going to share some memes we can use to re post here to destroy the liberal smugness in one fell swoop.
An electric fence is a decent compromise. Enough to shock and stop, not enough to kill. It may also allow for a detection capability if done in sections.

What galls me is that US defense contractor Raytheon was paid billions to build a massive wall around Yemen by Saudi Arabia. It isn’t a Chinese Great Wall. You get ditches and elevated rises that stop someone barrelling through with a car and three layers of patrolled barbed wire fence too tall to be scaled with a fence.
If it is good enough to stop determined Muslim terrorists from coming across to Saudi Arabia, it will stop poor Hispanic immigrants.

If you factor in the loss in purchasing power of the Mexican Peso, and the INCREASE in purchasing power of the dollar, just since November 10th, Mexico has already paid for the wall. The only question now is “how much more do you want to pay?”

Walls seem to work for Israel...and did for East Germany.
The ladder argument is so PATHETIC it’s not worth the time...but anyway, here we go. First, the ladder only works on one side, unless you’re able to pick up a 30 foot ladder from the top and swing it over, to the other side of the wall, all while sitting on top or barbed wire or spikes. Try doing that with a 12’ foot ladder and report back...LOL. Then, after having cracked your spine shifting the ladder over, or having cracked your spine jumping to the ground, you next have to deal with killing (or at least disabling) the Border Patrol guys standing right next to you, since you’re kind of trapped there, between multiple walls (sometimes 2, sometimes 3, depends on location).
As for tunnels...they are VERY EXPENSIVE an TIME CONSUMING to build. What makes more sense than trying to funnel Illegals through tunnels, just to have to create a Greyhound Station, at some house where the tunnel comes up - and hoping that no discovers bus after bus of people coming out of the house, but never having gone into it. Or use the tunnel for drugs?
Obviously drugs wins...and so the wall WILL stop Illegals, and it may stop or slow down drugs, as it will force all drugs to go through tunnels, rather than be carried or handed off across the border. Get some Israeli technology, and most of the tunnels can likely be dispensed with also.
Activate 10 land mines at a time instead of the wall. Plant 1000’s of them, but to make the libs happy, only a TINY PERCRNTAGE of the mines will be turned in at a time. Then electronically turn them off and activate another different set of 10. Make the electronic switch every 30 seconds. Put up a sign defining the mine field. We could call it Trump Roulette. This way you only blow up a few foolish people (a lower number than those dying now in the illegal process).

LOL, I just wrote the same thing! Right down to the 30 feet. I have enough fun with my 12 foot ladder (8 foot is easy to handle, though)...even 12 feet puts some serious stresses on one’s back. (and in case people don’t know, ladders get much heavier as they get longer, since they also have to be stronger due to the length...so a 12 foot ladder is easily twice as heavy as an 8 foot ladder).

As long as there are liberals there will be smugness, condescension, arrogance, and above all stupidity.
With the existence of a physical wall it will be politically much easier to actually enforce the immigration laws. it is as valuable as a symbol as it is as a physical barrier. And, tunnels and ladders cannot move nearly so many new welfare recipients and jihadists as could cross without the wall.
As a Senator, Obama also voted for the 2006 secure fence act. So did Clinton. That resulted in some higher quality fencing and some WALL being built along the Mexican border during the Bush AND OBAMA administrations. But somehow the Bush/Obama wall is sound national security policy, while its extension under Trump is a Moral Outrage that Divides Us from Our Values.
For eight years all the liberals we’re hearing from now could have been standing in front some serious wall in places like San Diego, demanding “President Obama, Tear Down This Wall ! “ But we didn’t hear a peep.
Selective outrage. Fake issue.
