“Paul Anka also wrote the theme song for Johnny Carson’s Tonight Show.”

Trite. One unoriginal riff. Yankee Doodle has far more substance.

Bowie may have been inspired by “Comme d’habitude”, but his Life on Mars song bears very little relation to the model.

Frank S probably would have been pro Trump.
Trump certainly has always had a rat-pack thing going.

I just goggled her. Not bad for 76.
I’d do her but she’d have to pay me.

Screw her and her followers ... I liked the Elvis version of that song better anyway. How would she like it if all conservative sources began calling it the Elvis song, “My Way”?

Hey! Nancy, your dad is NOT singing ‘Something Stupid’ with you on this gig.

You could care less about this matter. You’ve become irrelevant. Hard to be pious when you admit the night your dad died he called you wanting to see you and YOU, dear lady, chose to stay home and watch ‘Seinfeld’.

Beat it or eat it, pussy cat.

Hey, Nancy!

‘What’s right is right and
You ain’t been right yet!’

‘These boots are made for walking
And, that’s just what they’ll do
One of these days these boots will
Step in a big pile of poo!’

Tell your story walking, ugly bitch!

The theme served its purpose.

I’ve been a little sour on old Anka as of late.

Frank Sinatra’s mother was an abortionist.

The song she sang that was notable to me was the one with Lee Hazlewood; who would probably have been a big Trump supporter. Born too early, rest in peace.

“Some velvet mornin’ ...” And Lee wrote it. I even heard this off of the alternative music station.

Nancy sang as part of a duo in one of the most unusual songs of the 1960’s. It was called “Some Velvet Morning/Phaedra”, written and accompanied by Lee Hazelwood. To use the old lingo; the song was ‘trippy’.

That was the "Nancy and Lee" album. I have it - it's actually quite good. "Some Velvet Morning" is indeed "trippy". "Summer Wine" and "Elusive Dreams" are downright poignant. Granted, the lyrics are nowhere near Leonard Cohen or Bob Dylan quality, and Nancy Sinatra's vocals could have been done by just about any female singer. What made the album was their juxtaposition with Lee Hazelwood's vocals. That's what provided the unique quality to the album. Well, the cover art on the album jacket helped, too.

I was reading Lee Hazlewood’s bio a few minutes ago, helped pen “Rebel Rouser” and other known songs/instrumentals.

So, I should listen to more of his music. The album you suggested sounds good.

And of course, Vanilla Fudge did “Some Velvet Morning”. I’ve heard it.
