Donald Trump's supporters have hit out at Hollywood once again, this time over a video of some of the biggest celebrities defiantly singing before his inauguration.
A new clip by W Magazine and Conde Nast Entertainment shows the likes of Emma Stone, Natalie Portman and Amy Adams reciting the disco classic I Will Survive.
The star-studded cast is seen participating in a 'lyrical improv' reading of the Gloria Gaynor song in the video, released just days before Trump will be sworn in.
It's already racked up more than a million views, but many of Trump's most fervent fans found the video to be 'pathetic', 'out of touch' and even 'uncool'.

I got a very different take on that video. I thought it was hilarious.
Seemed to me the celebs were TROLLING their fellow celebs with this droll, deadpan, and very satirical recitation.
This video could easily have been directed at Meryl Streep. They just left off the sarc tag.
Seemed to me it was the “journalists” reporting this vid who either didn’t get it, or rushed to put the PC spin on it.
McConaughey’s (sp?) part is precisely, for me, what cancelled all doubt.
His part was “hey, hey.” Totally deadpan. That’s all, nothing more.
Then he comments, off script, “hey, I like that part.”
He does not deserve fury for that. It was FUNNY.
So why we are getting our knickers a-twist? Tempest in a teapot.
WE will definitely survive, whether a bunch of movie stars agree with us or not.
PS: It helps if we understand the history of that Gloria Gaynor song.
It’s a gay anthem typically associated with DRAMA QUEENS.
So—the participants in the vid are essentially suggesting the anti-Trumpers are just being DRAMA QUEENS and should just calm down.
Mostly white and brown dwarfs. In other words the dimmest stars around.
Obviously, Matthew McConaughey is Hollywood and not a conservative.
But it looks and sounds like he's doing it as a gag.
You could say that for some of the other celebs in it as well.
It doesn't have much in common with the anti-Trump celebrity videos that came out a few weeks back.
Excellent.
Maybe the Beef Council should get an earful from conservatives.
Something like, "Gee, I used to love the sizzling mouthwatering sounds of your radio ads on my way to the store to figure out what to buy for dinner. Too bad I don't hear them anymore, because I change stations immediately"
Or, "I have vowed that every time I hear your ad with MM's voice, my next meat purchase in a grocery or restaurant will be something other than beef. Hey, I've always heard it's less healthy than other meats anyway, and maybe this will help me broaden my tastes."
Or, "I will never stop eating beef, but OTOH I've decided to answer your Hollyweird spokesman's recent 'making a statement' with one of my own: I've put on my speed dial the PETA donation text code, and by saying just 6 words to google voice, I can donate $5 to PETA's Make America Meatless campaign every time I hear him on your ads as I drive."

Thanks. Read his review and I bet it’s true but he does admit it’s fun and worth the price of admission so I still want to see it. My musician son loved it and he knows nothing of the old movie musicals Rex has the experience to contrast La La Land with.
And now I want to see what they did when they stopped the connector between the 105 and 110 freeways for several days. A lot of people have spent many hours there with no dancing whatsoever. Me, myself: oh, always having a baby in the back, I have never been stuck there, as there is a separate ramp for “carpools” which I ridiculously qualify for.
Why? they won't thank you.
I was embarrassed for them because they are too stupid to know how bad they are.
As a member of the class of ‘64, I know the “Snowflakes” began at Woodstock. Woodstock highlights the worst generation this country produced until those Baby Boomers formed breeding pairs. They achieved self-actualization through moral exhibitionism and militant self-absorption, while ignoring the nobility their parents displayed throughout the Depression and WW II.
These Boomers have an unprecedented focus on self. They seek policies of moral diversity/perversity and material comfort to transform the country from the Arsenal of Democracy into just another Gulag of apostasy, greed, and dependency.
They begat through multi-generational psychological incest a legacy of ideologically mutant children and grandchildren. Boomer offspring have become the “Snowflakes” of present times. These descendants are contra-educated to abhor the Constitution, the virtuous and valorous founding of our country, and classical liberal principles found in values of the Enlightenment. These perpetual children are without essential humanity; empty, ignorant, feckless, emotional, overactive, and under challenged.
Lucky for us there’s some of us boomers that retained our reasoning powers. LOL! ;-)
How ‘bout a nationwide boycott of movie theaters, drive-in’s or wherever a movie is playing, for say, two weeks. Let’s see what happens.

Yep. My advantage stemmed from my father taking me golfing with adults from about age twelve on. These men were all members of the Greatest Generation who served in WW II. There was a man who used the first golf cart I ever saw, because as a brigade commander of the 41th infantry in New Guinea he was debilitated by sickness. I remember one fairly good golfer who had kind of a weird back swing. I found out he was crippled while serving with the Big Red One in Sicily. My Economics professor in college served with one of the first UDT teams clearing barricades and mines in the surf zone before Pacific landings. I often ended up as a dishwasher at Michelbook Country Club and noticed the chef always limped as he moved around the kitchen. He saw my puzzled look, and said he got the limp from a wound received when he was with the Rangers at Pointe De Hoc.
I could relate other stories and have forgotten many. The upshot of these experiences was I volunteered for the Navy. I would rather have worked for a CPA firm, but learned from these men it was my turn.
Others said they would not fight in an immoral war. That implied that they would be the first to volunteer for a moral war. The men I knew fought the “good war”, but never indicated to me it was moral.
Others said they could never bring themselves to shoot another human. The men I knew, were like me, much more concerned about being killed.
Since that time I have never wanted to identify with the other Boomers.
It’s hard at times knowing some of the boomers that we know. There are those that can’t grasp the concept of, (small thought in the back of my pea brain back then) that when my dad swore me in, I was committing to the government the use or abuse of my life as they saw fit. Not everybody gets assigned to a combat unit but, we were still offering up our lives in any case to be called upon at any time. Just look at how many non combat accidents occur. Late 60’s early 70’s was not an easy time to be in the military due to all the lies the msm and left wing were putting out. There was the far enemy and the at home enemy.
