I got a very different take on that video. I thought it was hilarious.
Seemed to me the celebs were TROLLING their fellow celebs with this droll, deadpan, and very satirical recitation.
This video could easily have been directed at Meryl Streep. They just left off the sarc tag.
Seemed to me it was the “journalists” reporting this vid who either didn’t get it, or rushed to put the PC spin on it.
McConaughey’s (sp?) part is precisely, for me, what cancelled all doubt.
His part was “hey, hey.” Totally deadpan. That’s all, nothing more.
Then he comments, off script, “hey, I like that part.”
He does not deserve fury for that. It was FUNNY.
So why we are getting our knickers a-twist? Tempest in a teapot.
WE will definitely survive, whether a bunch of movie stars agree with us or not.
PS: It helps if we understand the history of that Gloria Gaynor song.
It’s a gay anthem typically associated with DRAMA QUEENS.
So—the participants in the vid are essentially suggesting the anti-Trumpers are just being DRAMA QUEENS and should just calm down.
