The owner of an Oregon pet store said a stolen python was returned five days after a security camera recorded a man shoving the snake into his pants.
Richard Bjugan, owner of A to Z Pets in Portland, said the man walked into the store with a woman Friday and a security camera recorded him taking a $200 python out of a tank about 2 p.m. and shoving it into his pants before leaving the store.

Bjugan said another man returned the snake to the store Wednesday, saying he had purchased the 2-foot long snake from another man, but realized it was stolen when he saw news coverage of the theft.
Bjugan said the snake appears to be in good health.
Portland Police said they are still trying to identify the man from the security camera footage.
I never realized part of Oregon was in Florida.
Ping
Eww! Who wants to buy it now?
Everything in the article said Portland, Oregon,
I hope the snake bit the thief in some of his sensitive areas.
I thought he was glad to see me.....
Traumatized by the reptilian violator.
I’ve been stopped by Pet Store security more than once for being accused of stuffing a snake down my pants.
They are always courteous and apologize when when they’ve realized they made a mistake.
They accused you of trying to sneak out 200 lbs of dog food in your coat?
You mother ####er!!!!!! lol.
You ########er!!!
Mother #######. lol
I hate you. :)
Still ROFL!
You win tonight, but I’ll be back!!!
I get stopped all the time.
Damn you beat me to it.
I thought I was being creative.
Ereptile dysfunction can make make people limp, is that why they spotted you?
LOL
You’d be surprised how often this happens, usually in mom-and-pop pet stores and at reptile expos, which generally don’t have high tech enclosures with locks, like PetCo and PetSmart do.
Every so often, in my snake forums, a BOLO will be posted by a store owner or breeder, trying to get their animals back.
The worst tragedies are when ‘store mascots’ get snake-napped.
Sometimes, they get them back, but more often, not.
Richard Gere says it’s a lot easier to steal a gerbil. Not sure how that is “easier” (or even possible). I suppose easier to not get caught.
YEP! But I’m afraid to take Viagara :)
You sound like you know a lot about it :)
Bill Clinton's "reptile" was spotted, too - but I think he was born that way!
