Mr. President, we can get cheap Hollywierd entertainment in more places than we wish already.

How about, instead of Music acts, bring Tony Robbins in for a 15-min Investment tip/how-to? We recognize you're going to set the economic field for the Middle Class to come roaring back to life, can we celebrate that?

That was his first big hit. I lived in San Antonio at the time, saw him live, and had his first two albums on vinyl. “Guitar Town” and “Exit Zero”; I had “Copperhead Road on cassette tape, used to play it after midnight at the all-night law office where I picked up some extra dough after the all-day insurance company. I got a pretty good price for them in Norman, Oklahoma in 1997, but they’re probably worth an arm and a leg now.

“My Old Friend the Blues” is one of his enduring hits, and his Christmas song, “Nothing But a Child,” is very sweet. One of my teenaged daughters sang it last Christmas; I did backup.

Geez...could you lighten up a bit already! It’s one day and one party....he’s already put in more work than Obama has in the past 2 years...give him a break!

Just the MSM is trying to stir up trouble.

Relax, Trump is working on filling his cabinet, not worrying about entertainment.

“Charlie Daniels, Garth Brooks and Ted Nugent. Works for me.”

I read earlier on FOX news that Garth Brooks turned down an appearance at the inauguration. Hummmmm . . .

Again, this is about taking down the fermenting narrative the Left is cooking up that the arts have shunned our President.

We should be fileting and deep-frying them for scaring blind Bocelli out of performing with their twitter attack on him. They expect to be called on it, and we need to.

How about Trump just continue to breaking with tradition and instead of the expected inauguration format, Air the self produced videos of supporters expressing why they supporter Trump...

Either that or get inaugurated, take your bow and spend the rest of the time showing people who have been unemployed long term due to Obama and the Democratic Party’s liberal policies.

Trump has made the case for his presidency as the proper alternative to the left. Now we need to be shown proof, which is the people who have been harmed themselves.

This inauguration could be one that is impossible for the opposition to ridicule if it is about real people and real needs. And it can be shaming to the left if it’s undeniably , their bad.

They are really good! Gotta love that southern style!

David Crowder would be a great choice. His swampy southern gospel alt rock is just the right thing for draining the swamp! I saw Crowder perform this song with Tedashii(Christian rapper) at Creation Northeast this year, and it was amazing! Lift Your Head Weary Sinner (Chains) ft. Tedashii . Then follow with this to hammer the message home: Run Devil Run :-)

Garth was considering it.

But his hat vetoed the idea.

Thanks. Gave both a listen. Not bad. I liked the first better than the second. Strange, a communist singing about Jesus. :)

Yeah, life is weird. Steve wrote about 35% percent of the hit songs of the last 20 year, and Mac MacAnally wrote another 40%, and the rest is garbage.

It’s one day and one party....

***********

“The Committee also released an extensive schedule of inaugural events to be held over a
five day span starting Tuesday, including several dinners honoring the President-elect,
Vice-President-elect, and cabinet secretaries, a concert celebrating the American people,
the swearing-in, the inaugural parade, two inaugural balls and a ball saluting our armed
forces and first responders,” the statement continued.

I gave up on what they, today, call "country music" roughly 30 years ago. Same goes for nearly all pop music and pop culture. IMO, our culture entered a sharp nosedive beginning in the late 80s or early 90s.

If I was going to be there, my druthers would be Thunderbirds overflight and trick aviation from any branch who had guys in town that day.

But as far as dancing, I think some *good* disco might be pretty exhilarating.. since all our grunge bands are missing half their members ;).. and old-school Ballroom dancing, if anybody remembers it!

Nah!!!!

There are some wonderful Orthodox hymns that wound be VERY appropriate (even though the Lying Press will react badly to them, especially if they include God Save the Tsar).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEATiGKOTEs

I would LOVE that one, though!!!!

And there will probably be more Evangelical and popular music than Orthodox.

I want Cat Juggling!

And some midget tossing. Robert Reich should be there. Just grab him and throw him around for an hour or two.

I think many people fixate on a time when they thought music was good and stick with it. We find new music we like all the time. I wouldn’t go to Steve Earle concert today - too many drugs, listen when he’s been cleaned up for recording. However, my husband and I saw the Gipsy Kings and the Steeldrivers this fall, and we have tickets for the Infamous Stringdusters next month.

There are plenty of good bands playing for affordable prices. The Gipsy Kings were a big pricey, $60-ish, but the Steeldrivers and a good opening act were only about $30, and the Stringdusters were $14 before all the fees tacked on to buy the tickets online. If we were young, we could get cheap tickets by showing up at the door.

I don't see why that would matter. The Tsar, bless his heart, is hardly a figure of contemporary global controversy.

I seems that the music to God Save the Czar has been used by the University of Pennsylvania, the Alma mater of several members of the Trump family!!!!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hail,_Pennsylvania!

Sounds like a winner!!!!

But the idea that Donald Trump is the new Tsar is controversial indeed!!!!

However, the same tune is used by the University of Pennsylvania, the Trump alma mater! WOW!!!!

No, that's just dumb. It's an amusing coincidence that Penn used the music, though.
