Tuesday evening on the radio, Conservative Review Editor-in-Chief Mark Levin addressed the announcement that Exxon-Mobil CEO Rex Tillerson is President-elect Donald Trumps pick for secretary of state.
Levin said that the choice of Rex Tillerson ranks among the worst of Trumps Cabinet picks.
Rex Tillerson: Trumps most disastrous pick The Conservative Conscience Ep77 Listen:
Tillerson has close ties to members of the ruling class establishment. His nomination was praised by the likes of Condoleezza Rice, Robert Gates, and James Baker luminaries of the Bush administration and, in the case of Rice and Gates, lobbyists for Exxon-Mobil. Additionally, his close relationship with Vladimir Putin is a major cause for concern.
Fundamentally, Tillerson is the wrong man for the wrong job at the wrong time. As Levin read from Conservative Review Senior Editor Daniel Horowitzs piece today:
Trump should have appointed a secretary of State who regards the current State Department with as much disdain as Scott Pruitt regards the EPA. The problem we have at the State Department is not a management crisis. We have a moral and intellectual problem with the State Department that has persisted for decades. It stems from a deep-rooted culture of moral relativism and an America-last mindset. As such, we needed a man with a strong ideological rudder who understands the issues, is on the right side of them, and willing to bust up the entire State Department structure and the global foreign policy apparatus.

Tillerson was instrumental in lobbying the Scouts board to accept openly gay youths, said John Hammer, president of the Washington think tank Center for Strategic and International Studies, of which Tillerson is a board member. "I cant get into the intimacy of these conversations. But he agonized over this. He prayed on it, and ultimately he came to the conclusion the only thing that can guide him here is whats best for the young boys, he said. "I think he became a key leader in helping the group come to a consensus."
I used to listen to levin’s schtick. He’s very, very butt-hurt after his candidate got butt-hurt. Especially since his view was bypassed and his numbers dropped, he is too negative to listen to. What a putz.
Hillary was going to flood the USA with illegals, Muslims and 3rd world people . Guess you want that right?
Hillary promised executive amnesty to 40 million illegals in her first 100 days as President. This proves Hillary is even worse than Obama.
And Hillary plans to dissolve the U.S. border first 100 days:
that means 10s of millions of more voters for Hillary/socialism.
Trump hasn’t even had 1 day in power yet you damn communist so go jump off a lake or move to Somalia because that was what Hillary was going to turn the USA into.
Does Hannity still take this guy seriously? REmember, he was “The Great ONe.” Levin is a joke. Almost as bad as the idiot Glenn Beck.
And anybody who is not a Trump is always righter can see this train wreck coming.
Oy.
Levin was not a nevertrumper. He spent the election season hammering how urgent it was to defeat Clinton, and how Trump was the only way to do so.
However, the day after the election, he was so distraught that Trump was going to stack the Supreme Court with originalist conservatives that would obviate his beloved scheme to let modern politicians rewrite the Constitution, he went straight to pure, unbridled fury.
My take;
Levin needs a constant boogie man to keep his blood pressure up enough to attract listeners to hear his rants. If all of a sudden things start to work as they should in this country, who the H is going to want to find invisible boogie-men under their beds late at night. If he has nothing to sell, who will buy it?
I forgot about the boy scout deal. That’s a deal breaker for me. He should have the millstone treatment.
Much better than #Never Trump.
Constitutional Mark shouldn't be taken seriously as he supports NAFTA, a construct that (unconstitutionally) allows a panel of foreign bureaucrats in tribunals to settle our trade policy.
Levin dropped off my listening regimen months and months ago. He isn’t relevant IMO.
Exactly, why was it not a concern for Brandstat (sp) and China?
If Trump is in charge (as you say), then it shouldn't be a problem if he picks her.
I think Levin’s been paid off by Soros or the Gope(Soros money again) . I heard they bought $400,000 worth of this stupid books he’s always trying to hawk

He will put Trump’s policies into action, not any policies of his own. In that role he will be by all accounts great.
We’re on the wrong side in Syria.
Apparently Mr Levin feels the only acceptable SOS is Mr Levin. Since he completely agrees with himself only he is pure enough to be SOS.
Pretty sure the US Senate is not going to agree with that assessment. While the mental image is amusing, not sure “get off the phone you big dope” is the sort of response the US’s head diplomat should be giving when Putin or Xi Jinping call.
James Baker worked for Reagan, as did Mark Levin, yet Baker is not good enough for Levin?
Who is Mark Levin?
I have a vague recollection of that name from “The Olden Days”, those days from way back in the pre-Trump era of early 2016. (Wow, how time flies when you’re having fun).
But, as I recall, he wasn’t much in favor of a Trump Presidency. And I seem to remember that, at that time, he was actually a pretty big name in Talk Radio. Apparently no longer.
If you listen to Tillerson at the Economic Club, you’ll notice his answer when the guy at the very end, after Tillerson talks, and it’s Q&A, asks him directly about AGW. Tillerson, the head of the largest company in the world, walks a diplomatic line to basically say Exxon will deal with it as appropriate. But you absolutely get the sense that he doesn’t believe in it but has to play the company along with the idiots that have been in power.
I am very confident that Tillerson agrees with Trump on AGW and once he’s out from under Exxon responsibility will act accordingly.
Just listen to the interview. He politely says that the models are flawed.
