One of history's biggest butchers butchering histories biggest butchers, Muslims.
The only way to deal with evil nazis like Muslims is fear. That's all they respect. Chalk up killing Khan's emisaries with one of Islam's biggest mistakes along with attacking america on 9/11 and attacking Malta.
When fighting savages, sometimes you have to be a little savage yourself.
It’s the only thing they understand.
Sometimes you have to speak their language.
From what I’ve read Genghis Khan was a pretty fair guy at first but once he encountered Islamic opposition their brutality turned him into an avenging demon. It’s too bad he had problems with his command chain back home. He had to turn back from Bagdad. If not for that he would have sacked Mecca and any idea they had “divine protection” would have been crushed. Perhaps God kept that rotten cult around for a good reason latter on.
Agree.
Just what do Muslims fear? Not death?
A lot of the Mongols became Muslims at some point.
Well he defeated them for a while at least. Didn’t last.
There should be a TV show on Genghis similar to the Vikings show on Ragnar’s Viking conquests. I would rate Genghis as the #1 Bad Ass of all time. While he did act savage at times, he was the most pragmatically brilliant and successful leader I have ever read about.
In this first initial period when Khan had a curiosity...he sent a number of people to act as traders and observers. They were all executed, in a pretty harsh fashion. You can draw your own conclusions, but he had zero sympathy for anyone from the region from that point on.
The interesting thing here, which few ever realize....as the Crusades were coming to an end, and the region was going to expand out with Muslim control...along came Khan....who literally set the whole region back by 300 years.
Partially, not THEIR personal death, but the death of their families and friends/loved ones .. perhaps closer to the mark. In history, it is the reason that if caught or killed, their families would also die, their homes destroyed, even their animals destroyed. Their history, removed from existence. When this happens with regularity, it changes hearts and minds.
Genghis Kahn, my favorite barbarian.
The man knew how to conquer.
At the first walled city destroy it all. Keep a handful of survivors and let them watch you kill every living thing down to the last cat, dog and bird.
Turn the handful loose and let them run to the nearest city.
When your army arrives at that city offer terms of surrender: Open your gates and give me all your valuables or be destroyed.
When they open the gates slaughter the ruling class, take their treasure and install your own people.
Round up survivors of the first city, pay them and send them to neighboring cities with the news: Surrender and the citizens live, fight and everyone dies.
Amazing how badly people want to live.
If something is useful to your people, keep it.
If it isn’t useful, destroy it. It saves headaches later on.
Make sure the laws are few, easily understood and ruthlessly administered.
I don’t have to agree with everything he did to understand the beautiful simplicity behind his actions.
Losing.
Yep. Later Tamerlane rose to power and swept over the same territory that Khan had once taken and ‘converted’ millions to Islam under the sword.
It's not courage, its a spark of indecency.
Is it “G”engis or “J”engis?
or is it pronounced “Jen”jiz as used by the the haughty John Effin Kerry, who formerly served in Vietnam??
Genghis Kahn, Charles Martel and Trump saved the world from Islam
Genghis Kahn, Charles Martel and Trump saved the world from Islam
If you're afraid - don't do it, - if you're doing it - don't be afraid!
an action comitted in anger is an action doomed to failure.
Who cant stop drinking may get drunken three times a month. If he does it more often, he is guilty. To get drunken twice a month is better; once, still more praiseworthy. But not to drink at all - what could be better than this? But where could such a being be found? But if one would find it, it would be worthy of all honour.
There is no value in anything until it is finished.
Conquering the world on horseback is easy; it is dismounting and governing that is hard.
The greatest happiness is to vanquish your enemies, to chase them before you, to rob them of their wealth, to see those dear to them bathed in tears, to clasp to your bosom their wives and daughters
Not even a mighty warrior can break a frail arrow when it is multiplied and supported by his fellows. As long as you brothers support one another, your enemies can never gain victory over you!
