oing into Election Day, liberal voters were nearly certain Hillary Clinton would be the next president of the United States. But then the votes started coming in, leaving liberals in a state of shock and wondering how Republican Donald Trump could possibly win given he was predicted to lose in all the major polls.
Saturday Night Live, with the help of comedic genius Dave Chapelle, imagined what how election night might have gone among white Clinton supporters as they watched the results in real-time. Chris Rock also made a surprise appearance.
At one point, one of the Hillary voters asks, Like, why aren't people turning out for Hillary the way they did for Barack Obama?
I mean, maybe because you're replacing a charismatic 40-year-old black guy with a 70-year-old white woman, Rock responds. That's like the Knicks replacing Patrick Ewing with Neil Patrick Harris.

The post so nice you did it twice!.................
It really wasn’t funny.
I mean I tried to laugh, but SNL somehow rendered Dave Chapelle and Chris Rock unfunny at the same time.
Sad!
I agree, none of it was funny, and what's up with that opening song...terrible? Oh, and that news guy Che, I guess he can't tell the difference, really, between a Mexican and a Puerto Rican. Trump would have fired him for messing up his lines - but he'll get rewarded. Just like the media hasn't learned and has doubled down on being unfair to Trump, so will SNL - it's all they know.
Although I was surprised to see them mock what amounts to their audience, I didn’t think it was all that funny. Really what it was about was a couple of black guys appearing to be smarter that the whites. No mention of blacks voting in a huge bloc every time, even if slightly less so this election. Just not all that funny to me.
Of course, I was put into a bad mood by the ridiculous bouquet to Illary disguised as a tribute to Leonard Cohen at the beginning of the show. Barfworthy.
thank you so much. I laughed so hard, and showed it others who then laughed so hard. Funny thing is that one woman here said that is exactly how her group of friends acted during that night, except it was even more of a meltdown.
Oh that is FUNNY!!! But then, I’m the kind of simpleton that thought the SNL sketch was hilarious so what do I know ;-)
later
I agree. It was very funny.
It was great! Loved seeing two black men laugh at simpering, air-head, white women!
Right on the money.
Is that clip of Colbert’s Election Night on Showtime? That was hilarious, as the libs were melting down in real time.
I’m in the DC area, and I was sorely tempted to go to the big Democrat party in DC (I have the connections to get in if I wanted to). I resisted, partly because I had a very long day working get-out-the-vote in Pennsylvania, but also because I don’t like that sort of gloating, even when I’m the one doing it. Still, this is what I imagined all evening.
I don’t watch SNL any more, haven’t for about 20 years, because it just isn’t funny. The music sucks, too. But this skit was funny - thanks for the post, you made my day.
My anxiety about the future left me and went into a libber. I didn’t think the skit was all that funny, although watching Chapelle and Rock laugh at the White people was funny in itself.
I only posted ‘You can say THAT again’ because the snippet repeated the same couple of paragraphs twicet.
Mr. Trump is secure enough to laugh at himself, so there should be some good comedy out of them. Maybe he’ll guest host one day.
I didn’t think it was that funny.
SNL should apologize for being on the air too long.
Once you give up TV a whole world of things that used to be relevant become not so.
It’s dangerous to gloat around these people. THEY are dangerous.
