Clinton goes to war on FBI for 'extraordinary' decision to reveal fresh investigation...

Now it's Hillary Clinton's campaign that is hitting the FBI – after the bureau announced Friday that it is reopening an investigation into Hillary Clinton's emails after developments in an unrelated case.

The Clinton campaign fired off a stern statement Friday 'in response to the letter sent by FBI Director James Comey to eight Republican committee chairman in Congress' – suggesting at the outside that some sort of partisan action was at play.

'It is extraordinary that we would see something like this just 11 days out from a presidential election,' Clinton campaign chair John Podesta wrote in the official statement, the campaign's first comment since stunning word broke that Clinton's emails were back under the microscope at FBI headquarters.

It was the campaign's first official comment. The candidate did not respond to shouted questions as she got off her campaign plane at a campaign stop in Iowa.

Whoa...coming from Carl Bernstein that’s a BIG deal. He’s always been much more partisan than Woodward.

Interesting, and I agree. This has to be extraordinary. ..it’s 10 days before the election.

“Plus I think the VAST majority of the FBI hate her and maybe he was pressured.”

I think Comey is first and foremost a politician. (Anyone who rises to the cabinet level in the civilian world, or to full colonel or above in the military is more politician than worker.) He is fighting a pitched battle within the FBI to keep the agents contained and off balance until the election is over. The abrupt and startling news conference he gave a few months ago where he outlined the case for indictment and then said no reasonable prosecutor would indict was actually an attempt to cut off the agents under him from using the NSA to obtain proof that Hillary lied during her interview. Apparently, that worked. He prematurely closed the avenue of a possible Hillary indictment.

Now, there is more internal politics and he is trying to do damage control. But, the question is; is the damage control to protect him or Hillary?

Never mind, apparently Weiner had the emails on his phone!

Ugh - how'd you like to be the agent tasked with going through The Weiner's phone? Stress-related employment disability coming right up!

What if Huma had copied classified info that wasn’t previously disclosed to the FBI.NYC is investigating Weiner, perhaps they took both of their phones and found the evidence.

Whatever she had must have been REALLY serious, or the FBI wouldn’t reopen the investigation this close to the election.

Let’s assume that Huma sent stuff to the Muslim Brotherhood that was classified, making it pure espionage.

This would lead to her indictment and the Beast’s demise.

Seems like a perfect storm to me!

So the question is, was Weiner exchanging state secrets for sex ?

Perhaps we have finally found a line of investigation that can benefit from Megan Kelly's skill set.

Great analysis.

I have NO idea. I THINK to protect himself.

The last thing he wants is for Trump to get elected and he hands evidence to congress 2 weeks after he knew about it.

Trump would prosecute him to the fullest as it’s illegal not to report it immediately.

obama have any role in this ya think?

Stupid, ignorant ba$tard Podesta! Partisan? Comey is obliged by the rules and obligations he has as FBI Director to inform Chairs of relevant committees/subcommittees.

Per the last election, EVERY current sitting House and Senate Chair is a Republican. If Podesta could find a Dem Chair, perhaps he could call that person to our attention.
