A 77-year-old Hayward woman was arrested on suspicion of trespassing and punching an officer Tuesday at a red-tagged home in Fremont, according to police.
Animal services officers were at the woman's home in the 38000 block of Hastings Street to deal with more than 50 feral cats who live at the residence, according to police.
The suspect was trespassing at the home, which had been red-tagged by code enforcement officers. She allegedly punched one of the officers at the scene.
They arrested her on suspicion of trespassing, battery on a police officer and resisting arrest.
Cat lady lives matter
Leave her alone! She’s just resting up for the debate.
Does “Cat Lady” have a name? At age 77, she is obviously not an underage minor. Not even a photo with her feline friends.
That might mean she’s a woman of means.
NOT this cat lady, but a comrade in arms - OMG!

Trespassing in her own home? And people think the USA upholds some concept of private property?
Love It Love It ... will send it to a couple of folks that have cats.
" excuse me,EXCUSE ME..anyone seen my car keys?
Feral or just stray?
If they were truly feral in a confined space, the lady would be the least of the officers problems.

Apparently, red tagged, means no human can live in it.
Sounds like it has being condemned.
I did work in a home for a woman who had 12-city worker. I couda had it but the place stunk. I know it woulda been tight but then they’re all tight to me.

Former Secretary of State and Failed Democrat Presidential Nominee Hillary Clinton, 77, was arrested on suspicion of trespassing and punching an officer Tuesday at a red-tagged home in Chappaqua, according to police.
Animal services officers were at the former First Lady's mansion in Chappaqua, New York to deal with more than 50 feral cats who live at the residence, according to police.
Mrs. Clinton, widow of the former president Bill Clinton and spouse of Huma Abedin-Clinton was trespassing at the home, which had been red-tagged by code enforcement officers. She allegedly punched one of the officers at the scene.
Red tagged? Shes a Republican?
Generally I adore cats but this is just a little too much.
In my past life as a police officer, I had to assist a neighboring department in dealing with a very similar situation. The home was condemned because the cats had gotten into the walls and cat urine and feces were all over the drywall and supporting studs as well as the underflooring wood and beams. It was a major health hazard and there was no way to refurbish the home due to the extent of the damage the cats had done. The house had to be bulldozed.
If she was attempting to go back into a condemned home because feral cats kept showing up there and she wanted to feed them then yes, she was trespassing.
Were the cats charged with anything?
why does LEOs only shoot dogs ?
