Try cigars.
Seriously. Start with three or so an day and then cut down to two a day, then to one a day. And eventually to one every so often and to none.
Worked for me several of the times I quit smoking.
I started vaping 7 years ago, have not had a cigarette since. My wife has been doing the same for 3 years.
Try essential oil black pepper, use a difuser, in you recipes requiring black pepper
Vaping is great. I can’t stand the taste, or odor, of real cigs anymore.
You can vape indoors, where it’s warm/cool. No odor, no staining.
I think to succeed you need to change to vaping all at once, no tapering off cigarettes.
And, once you get the stuff, it’s a hell of a lot cheaper.
Tried vaping and then started mixing my own juice.
Testing all the different flavors and working on my own recipes got me cut way back on the cigs.
About a month after noticing I was almost never smoking I decided to just quit.
Had a few urges for a week, then that faded over about a month.
Never going back.
Vaping made it E-Z.
.
No, but people have I’m sure. You have to really want to quit to be successful, in my opinion.
Vapping is gay
Quitting smoking is easy... I’ve done it hundreds of times. /sarc
Instead of “vaping,” I over-eat. Must more pleasurable.
Yes. Going on five years for me. Feel great, the challenge is learning what works best for you and learning the ropes of vaping. I have not had cigarette since two weeks after vaping. Advice is to go between cigs and vaping for a while also do not think you will find a product that tastes like a cigarette but realize the advantages. Cost, health, odor, able to smoke in house and car etc
Just quit, period. It’s more a mental thing than a physical need.
In 1987 I was told I had throat cancer, that instant I quit, I have not smoked since. Once you are mentally tuned into quitting, as I was, the actual physical withdrawal is just but a few days, the rest is habit.
Quit torturing yourself with all the gimmickery, just stop it.
Before quitting I could not climb a set a stairs without stopping and trying to catch my breath. After a couple of years I could climb all I wanted to.
But in later years COPD will catch up with just about any smoker. It’s so important to just quit right now.
I quit smoking the hard way. Cold Turkey. It works the best by far and is well worth the few weeks of suffering.
I smoked for 30 years, I quit two years ago using the electronic cigarette known as Blu. Actually I think its been almost 3 years now. They also have the more traditional vaping tools.
Bought the kit, started with the cartridges of highest strength, and stepped down from there.
I was down to zero strength within two months, and then quit totally by month four.
Best thing I ever did. :-)
My brother vapes, but I can’t ask him how it’s going. He’s got a gynocologist appointment today...*BADUM TSSSSSSS* :D
My brother says the hardest part about vaping is telling your parents you’re gay. *ZING*!!!! :D
Started vaping 2 years ago after 50 years of 2 packs a day. Never wanted another smoke. Cough quit after a day, nose cleared up after 3.
For me, a lot of it was being able to use my hands and mouth.
Seriously, just quit. It’s the only way. After 25+ years, 2 pack a day habit, I quit. First 3 days are the hardest. Once they pass, the nicotine is pretty much out your system, and it’s all will power (and, as previously noted, behavior modification) from there. Hardest part for me was reaching for a smoke after dinner, or when I got in the car, etc. Just find something else to do. keep reminding yourself you are now a non-smoker.
Vape if you can’t quit but stop smoking as soon as you can. I quit 6 years ago using chantrax for about two weeks weened off over a 5 day period. Then each day after when I got up I would say not going to have one today. Vigorous exercise is a great help if you can do it each day.
Good Luck you will feel better for it.
Absolutely...Smoked for 40 yrs and tried everything to quit with no success. Vaping now and haven’t had a cig in over 3 years.
