Obama sees origins of Trump's rise in Sarah Palin
Politico ^ | 10/3/2016 | Louis Nelson

The path that brought the Republican Party to nominating Donald Trump as its candidate for the White House began in 2008, President Barack Obama said in an interview published Monday, when Sarah Palin joined John McCain’s GOP ticket.

“I see a straight line from the announcement of Sarah Palin as the vice-presidential nominee to what we see today in Donald Trump, the emergence of the Freedom Caucus, the tea party, and the shift in the center of gravity for the Republican Party,” the president told New York Magazine. “Whether that changes, I think, will depend in part on the outcome of this election, but it’s also going to depend on the degree of self-reflection inside the Republican Party. There have been at least a couple of other times that I’ve said confidently that the fever is going to have to break, but it just seems to get worse.”

In a wide-ranging interview that covered the moments of his administration that Obama believes will have a lasting historical impact, the president explained his realization early on that Republicans would show little interest in working with him. He recalled the opposition to a stimulus package from Rep. John Boehner, then the House minority leader, just days after Obama’s first inauguration, as the first sign of the difficult relationship he would have with the GOP. To even be photographed with him, the president remembered Sen. Mitch McConnell saying, would be damaging and therefore the Kentucky senator said any deal should happen on his terms.

At my last check, a nation of almost 320 Million souls. So the 60 million is but 20 percent of that by my figuring.

HIS OWN PARTY Congressional partisan wonks voted against him to override his latest veto.

Does Obama think more people hate Sarah than hate Hillary?

Too funny, but sad. Real sad. Obama the transparent is trying to use the Democrat party induced hatred they see as a national hatred, because the say so of Sarah Palin against Donald Trump. It of course goes back to their belief they are the ones. They are the movers, and the shakers, therefore nobody can possibly think of her in any other way.

This is one of the BIGGEST signs of their desperation I’ve seen to date.

Palin was a Tea Party candidate. The Tea Party also got Rubio and Cruz into the senate. The Tea party felt betrayed by Rubio and his gang of eight, and got behind Cruz during the presidential primaries.

Trump won the primaries because he got people interested who ordinarily are not interested. He got working-class citizens who have “heard it all before” from the political class. Trump represents something new.

But the Tea Party is solidly behind Trump today. And the only thing that connects this to Palin is the insidious hatred Obama, the Clintons, and the other Dem operatives, such as the mainstream media, have shown toward people like Palin and the Tea Party.

America is fed up. If that connects Trump, Palin, Cruz, and the Tea Party, so be it. We are tired of the uniparty-controlled, business-as-usual hijacking of our nation.

You know, the only point of Obama bringing up Sarah is to try and paint Trump with the same brush. Somehow, the left really managed to trash Sarah’s participation in the Republican party and they have been looking for a chink in Trump’s armor ever since.

But I would say, No luck this time either. Sarah is an earlier version of the Non PC straight talking Trump. I would welcome her into a Trump administration.

So Zer0 is trying to cast Palin as an albatross which he can hang around Trump’s neck. For the vast numbers of Sarah Palin supporters, Sarah Palin (figuratively speaking, is a red white and blue silk tie who has done more for the state of Alaska than der Hildebeast has done for America in her entire adult life. For those literature deficits, I give an excerpt from that Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s poem, “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner”:

About, about, in reel and rout
The death-fires danced at night;
The water, like a witch’s oils,
Burnt green, and blue and white.

And some in dreams assured were
Of the spirit that plagued us so:
Nine fathom deep he had followed us
From the land of mist and snow.

And every tongue, through utter drought,
Was withered at the root;
We could not speak, no more than if
We had been choked with soot.

Ah! well a-day! what evil looks
Had I from old and young!
Instead of the cross, the Albatross
About my neck was hung.

Typical loser lib. Has to blame someone else for everything. Can’t even conceive that his incompetence, and continued attempts to destroy this country has caused American citizens to rise up, and finally fight.

And the solid historical fact that the tea party movement began and coalesced around and behind SP.

At least 0 can see what many on FR cannot. Hadn't heard him speak anything near the truth in the past 8 years...until now.

Wholeheartedly agree! This victory, should it happen, will be the result of Sarah Palin's leadership and the tea party. It's the "pissed off Americans" movement.

I wish Trump would start bringing Sarah Palin to his rallies these last weeks before November 8. The Trump base would go wild plus it will bring women on board plus not a few independents.
