The path that brought the Republican Party to nominating Donald Trump as its candidate for the White House began in 2008, President Barack Obama said in an interview published Monday, when Sarah Palin joined John McCains GOP ticket.
I see a straight line from the announcement of Sarah Palin as the vice-presidential nominee to what we see today in Donald Trump, the emergence of the Freedom Caucus, the tea party, and the shift in the center of gravity for the Republican Party, the president told New York Magazine. Whether that changes, I think, will depend in part on the outcome of this election, but its also going to depend on the degree of self-reflection inside the Republican Party. There have been at least a couple of other times that Ive said confidently that the fever is going to have to break, but it just seems to get worse.
In a wide-ranging interview that covered the moments of his administration that Obama believes will have a lasting historical impact, the president explained his realization early on that Republicans would show little interest in working with him. He recalled the opposition to a stimulus package from Rep. John Boehner, then the House minority leader, just days after Obamas first inauguration, as the first sign of the difficult relationship he would have with the GOP. To even be photographed with him, the president remembered Sen. Mitch McConnell saying, would be damaging and therefore the Kentucky senator said any deal should happen on his terms.
Obama can see or dream or conjure all he want now. He is NOTHING. A nothing burger set to expire come January. It makes no nevermind what he thinks now.
um....no. It was actually your election that did it.
Remember when the little fudgepacker referenced “lipstick on a pig” in oblique reference to Palin?

And yes.....it's gotten really bad.
Lol. Obama the feckless giving his super brainy analysis.
I see a straight line from CPUSA, Frank Marshall Davis, and The Weather Underground giving rise to Barack Hussein Obama.
FUBO
The thought that Sarah has been living rent-free inside his head all these years makes me smile.
Poor Ubama, only now. At The End does he understand.
FUBO
Great pic!
I hope Sarah gets a great position in a Trump administration. If she wants one.
Secondly, part of the rise of Palin had to due with the let down from Bush. The push for amnesty by Bush, and his never ending growth of government precluded Obama. Obama didn't help to create the 'Tea Party' movement, it was years in the making.
Obama doesn’t consider it a complement . . . but it is.
Sarah Palin as Secretary of the Interior
I see a straight line from the Obama presidency to the world being on fire.
A nothing burger idolized by 60 million-plus of the American people
Who CANNOT vote for him again.
There are several potential Trump Cabinet members, and I stress “potential”, who I don’t believe could be confirmed by the Senate, including S. Palin.
