Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump chose Geno's over Pat's during a visit this afternoon in South Philadelphia.
In videos posted on Instagram, Trump could be seen at the order window of Geno's with his son Eric Trump and campaign manager Kellyanne Conway in the background.

Geno’s is much cleaner.
My grandma Rose’s best friend was a bookmaker with two mafia sons and she got arrested at 83 for bookmaking :)
Nothing like good old fashioned crazy Italians and Irish circa early 1900s :)
Pop sounds like he was a good man. And remind me not to play cards with you. :)
Keep her tied up in Pennsylvania, Donald, while Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and Wisconsin slowly come your way......
LOL! Our ancestors did everything they could to survive - even if they weren’t the nicest people. You can’t always be nice to survive, prosper and raise kids in the world of 19th-early 20th century America. Unless you were Sam Levinson’s mom (remember him?)
Amazing how we have similar relatives. But that’s NYC!
My dad was the very best. I miss him every day of my life.
One of the things I most miss about my fifteen years in Jersey is going down to the local Wawa’s for a pack of Tastykake Krimpets!
I am sorry. :(
I have found that contrary to what i thought, remembering pops and uncles and others and all the good times cheers me up and doesn’t depress me like I thought it would.
Since you have been shown time and again to be wiser than me, you already know that, I bet.
Whenever I could get hold of a nickel, it was straight up the block to either Melish's or Greenman's (we had stores and bars on every corner!) and right to a Tastykake lemon or blueberry pie.
Since Flowers bought them we now have Tastykakes here in the supermarkets of GreenAcres.
It’s all about the bread from the Italian bakeries.
The stooge from CBS has to get in his two cents about birtherism. I’d love to just cold cock these twerps.
Ignites one of the longest ongoing arguments in Philly - American cheese or Cheez Whiz?
MSM Headline: “Trump favors Geno’s Side”
Cheez Whiz!!!
Actually I’m not sure what I’m getting at my local Philly Cheese Steak joint. It’s melted and sort of creamy. I use lots of those little green and red peppers. Yummy.
Hope all is well on the other coast.
Teddy Roosevelt had it right.
The most amazing man ever to be President.
Conversant in species of poisonous snakes, the Wild West, NYC, and a warrior to boot.
A LION.
I do get sad remembering all that I have lost - especially my Queens & Brooklyn relatives who were so personable and odd (in a good way) - I try and keep their memory alive in my cooking, my words and my love of America.
One of the reasons I’ve turned out to adore The Donald is that his phraseology so reminds me of my youth. He’s the real Beauty Part.
He speaks like one of us from one of the neighborhoods we grew up in :)
What argument? Wit Wiz, all da way!

All is well here. Heading into a beautiful time of year in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Just need some rain - been really dry the past couple of months.
I’m a South Jersey girl (not any more, thank God) and I’m partial to American. But what do people from Jersey know?
Last time I was there I got a roast pork hoagie with broccoli rabe. Thought I'd died and gone to heaven.
