The photos Drudge uses often contain riddles, clues or inside jokes.
Use of a single BACK-TICK mark in the extreme upper-left corner of his site traditionally indicates to long-time fans that a HUGE STORY is about to hit.
When it does hit, in every case a flashing siren accompanies the headline, which is often in a huge, red font.
Freepers:
What could this impending news BE..?
Take your guesses, please.
It is a SINGLE CHARACTER in the extreme upper left corner.
Wow. I never knew this. Zoomed in and there it is.
i thot it was a dead fireant on my screen
i have never heard this theory but its got me curious....
Trump REALLY blew it this time during the televised event with Matt Lauer last night!
He's stepping down in favor of Ted Cruz! Glenn Beck told me so! /sarc>
Assange delivers wikileak info.
Nuke test NK.
Yeah, Drudge posts headline links, fine.
For devotees, he has stuff AT ANOTHER LEVEL, also, and you have to read between the lines.
Like sometimes the photos contain insults or innuendo.
This apostrophe/backtick thing is another one of those little games he plays.
Maybe something about HILLARY..?
We are getting close to the Assange D-day, I believe.
Clinton to withdraw; Biden/Warren 2016 commences. Let’s all sing Kumbaya...
Wikileaks release?
Moosehelles broken bathroom scale?
Pics of Duerte buggering Obama?
I never knew the significance of this. He often has the siren and bold red headlines, but the ` is a new inside secret to me. Thanks for sharing.
(TGIF for us Japan-side FReepers too. Whee!)
If true typical ...released on a Friday by Monday everything will be forgotten!
I just sent im OUR link to the Free Republic story about the North Korean Nuke warhead test going off ....
I hate back ticks. You have to get someone who’s willing to take them off for you.
Nuclear bomb test in North Korea
My guess for the new neadline is the North Korean apparently successful nuclear test which is showing up on the earthquake maps.
Hillary is coming out as a heterosexual...
That’s been reported, not a scoop unless it was above ground in poontangyun.
^_^
I never knew this, either...and I have been visiting Drudge’s site since about 1998!! Who knew?!
