I'm interested in the opinions of anyone who saw Dinesh D'Souza's new documentary at its opening yesterday.
It was very well done, but it filled me with sadness in that I live in a very Republican area and the theatre had just a smattering of patrons. The small audience was enthusiastic, but we were too few for this high quality offering. I knew about half of the people there!
D'Souza's message was delivered to the choir.
I should add that my husband and I, as well as the other couple with us, all give the movie 5 stars. It is a “must see” and you must recommend it to your friends.
Sadly, even if libs came to this film, they’d not learn. Most don’t have the courage to examine their belief system closely. It’s just easier to chant infantile slogans and call us names.
I had the same take when we saw the first movie he made. While it was well done, it didn't tell me anything new because I'm a political news junkie. I think that was the case with most who watched it. It could be said that the attendees were similar to students going to a pep rally - they were looking for a little lift, a little support.
My gut feeling is that the movie will do little to impact the election. It would have to be very cleverly produced and presented in order to actually educate voters who are not already committed. Liberals will never put money out to see it and undecided voters may be afraid of what they might learn.
Trumps needs to buy some time on the major networks in October, and show this film in prime time.
Haven’t seen it but The AZ Republic gave it a terrible review. No, I am not surprised. This paper keeps going further and further to the left. Glad I don’t subscribe.
I live in a very republican area too. We had a decent crowd, but I was disappointed when, at the end of the movie when the national anthem played i was the only person in the theater that stood.
The libs will avoid this the way we avoid Michael Moore’s films.
.
Don’t worry, it will grow. More people will see it than you realize. Liberals are such ferocious pack animals that those who break away have to be seriously careful. So like prey in the woods, you won’t see them.
Don’t be depressed with the low turnout.
We mostly have jobs, families and lives to take care of.
I’ll buy the DVD and watch it when I have the time. Just like I did with his last movie.
I don’t do theatres anymore.
Friday -is a work day and the end of a work week — for Republicans. perhaps traffic will be better over the weekend!
Dnc leaks show they were saying her campaign staff basically sucked..cant remember the words..then said they dont remember it being like this with obama
The movie is a scathing rebuke of democRAT talking points and policies. It also shows specifics of Hillary's escapades and the Clinton Foundation scams. The public corruption by the Clintons is well-documented by D'Souza.
The movie is well done and methodical, as you would expect from D'Souza. But don't get the idea that this movie is for anybody but the choir he's preaching to. Liberals and democRATS won't shell out money to see a movie critical of their party and their queen Hillary.
Someone's idea that the Trump campaign should buy primetime TV time and run this movie over and over again, the month before the election, is an excellent idea.
We live in instant electronics that we will pay for .... make it a pay per view that will benefit the movie house industry (or whatever) and let us view it at our leisure.
Don’t be saddened. Word will spread; and I think a lot of dems are teetering and may teeter right on in to see it. That, after all, is probably the main impact the film will have. The other, of course, might be some of the Repubs who are still teetering over our nominee.
You know there’s somebody who has the money and the network connections in New York to buy air time to have the film broadcast between now and Nov. 8. Not saying he’d do it but he should.
Maybe a different title would help.
