I saw the video. By all appearances, this does appear as if the cops were in the wrong. There seems to be absolutely NO reason for shooting this man.
He will get paid.
Cop will be disciplined.
Move on.
Cops aren’t perfect. Mistakes happen.
250,000 people a year die from medical malpractice. There’s no vast conspiracy involved. It’s just people screw up.
You good cops KNOW who the BAD cops in your organizations are. Putting aside the growing numbers of muslim inspired killings, if you’re content with the thought that these bad cops the TRIGGER HAPPY cowboys will continue to overstep and abuse their authority and citizens, driving unstable and aggrieved the citizens surrounding and outnumbering you to the sorts of killings of other GOOD COPS now on the increase, then do nothing.
If, however, you want to increase the odds that you will go home to the wife and kids at the end of your shift, you’d better do all you can to get the cowboys out of your department and lobby very hard to see that the White Shirts in command see that he NEVER works as a LEO anywhere again.
This is not good. Cops are on edge, and I’m saying this as the wife of a fire investigator and the mother of an autistic son.
Stupid stupid stupid. This one cop just undid all that happened before. 0bammy and Hillary and the left wing press will have a field day with this.
The victim will sue for millions but the question is; is it worth taking a bullet in the leg from a cop for several million dollars? What kind of cop shoots a guy in the leg anyway?
Let’s see how this plays out.
If this is legitimately a wrongful shooting, normally there would be a firestorm.
Maybe the Black Lives Matter folks are in retreat after their excesses and bad PR. Maybe this will rattle them, that maybe cops are getting trigger happy, and it is not so safe to be in their face as it was.
Their are bad cops and their are good cops who make a mistake or make bad decisions. Both deserve appropriate punishment. BLM makes it sound like the mistreatment of blacks by cops is routine. It is not.
The biggest problem the police have caused is when they try to cover up for the few bad or mistaken police behind the blue wall of silence, rather than openly handling bad or mistaken cops promptly. In this way, cops have brought scrutiny and mistrust on themselves. If they would quit civering up for the few bad apples and air their laundry publicly, people would trustvpolice a lot more.
When you shoot and kill an unarmed man in a Home Depot and then refuse to show the videotape of what happened and then clear the cop of all wrong-doing in secrecy, that is going to lead to mistrust and cynicism of police.
Thank God it was not a fatal shot.
That cops department needs to throw the book at him immediately to defuse this situation before the race hustlers can exploit it. I dont care if it was just poor muzzle discipline and stupidly not keeping his finger off the trigger. It is even worse if he was “on target, on trigger” when nobody was showing a weapon or hostile behavior.
Looks like a cop just couldn’t handle the heat. I would permanently remove him from the kitcphen. Put him behind a desk and no gun.
This just gets worse and worse. According to the police, the cop may have been aiming at the autistic man.

The therapist TOLD them over and over that the man had a toy truck and not a gun. But the man wasn’t complying. (He wasn’t capable of understanding)
So if you don’t comply, they can just shoot you - regardless of the situation, I suppose.
Twitchy trigger finger?
All the support for the police, all the outrage over the shootings of officers these past two weeks, is undone in seconds by one stupid flatfoot. If what appears to have happened turns out to be true, this fool has to be fired and prosecuted.
“I don’t know” why I shot you? Unbelievable!
Everybody’s a little edgy these days.
Warning to cops. In a tense situation you block your reasoning powers. Your survival instincts dominate. Can you let just a little bit of your rational nature peek through? Can you, for just a brief moment, become aware of the situation as it really is, and not as your adrenaline-overloaded brain makes it out to be?
The problem in this case is the idiot who called the police and said that the kid had a gun. What the hell is wrong with that person? It saw a metallic object in the kid’s hands and thought “gun”?
Some individuals have such an inordinate fear of guns that they see guns where there are none.
Great. If true, another cop on edge who fired too quickly? What ever happened to their training with tazers and batons?
More ammunition (pun intended) for BLM.
Because everyone you meet on the street tells the absolute and accurate truth. The cops should have just listened to this fellow whom they've never met. They can trust his judgement and his honesty!!!!
People on the street *never* lie.
The 911 caller said a gun was involved. He (she) should go to jail.
The guy put his life on the line to save his patient.
And now the media will go nuts for this video (ignoring all videos of non blacks being killed by cops) and black lives matter will shoot some more cops to get revenge.
rinse and repeat.
