Who ya gonna call ?
WEIGHT WATCHERS !!!!
(grin)
I thought Chris Hemsworth as the receptionist was the funniest of them all!
$46 million opening is actually really good for a comedy (highest in years, and highest of any of the major’s participants careers). Problem is Sony spent way too much making it. It’s amazing how often movie studios fail in scope control. Uncontrolled costs make a hit (which within normal comedy revenue is where Ghostbusters landed) into a bomb.
My dear elderly (progreesive) mother doesn’t understand why her divorced son isn’t too keen on dating here in NYC.
See the new Ghostbusters trailer, mom.
“What we are left with is a movie to help lonely middle-aged women feel better about themselves after being left on the shelf.”
An excellent analysis!
Why is everyone talking about this movie all the time? I have never heard anything good about it at all. I wouldn’t watch it if it were free on tv. Life is short.
That is one scorching review.
The guy can write.
Who ya NOT gonna call? BALL busters!
I remember the original lampooned the college education system and the EPA and other institutions. I doubt any of that made it into this remake.
star wars rebooted to a female skywalker.
star trek beyond pc’d sulu into a homosexual
comic books are rebooting all male characters into female (see iron man, thor, etc)
There are no knights allowed at Disneyworld (or as walt had it, Princes represented the protectors of virtue)
Is it any wonder that gen xer’s are eunachs.
Don’t tell me this is another “year of the women?” Aw jeez, not this #### again.
in addition to the 150 MM (before “rebates”) an additional 100 million for advertising. Are they nuts
I love reading and listening to Milo.. He’s unflappable and drives LIBS crazy!!!
I read where it opened to empty theaters.
“Compare the female Ghostbusters with my favorite female character of all time, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Buffys feminine qualities are part of her strength. She saves the world using her female vulnerability, not in spite of it. In fact, her femininity is the only thing that makes her capable of heroic feats.
The petty, two-dimensional feminist posturing of Ghostbusters is demeaning to all four of its leads, particularly when you consider how complex and interesting the film could have been with someone like Joss Whedon at the helm.”
