A man was shot by police in Falcon Heights on Wednesday evening. In a video posted on Facebook, the man’s girlfriend says the “police shot him for no apparent reason, no reason at all.”
The girlfriend, Lavish Reynolds, started the video with the man slumped next to her, his white T-shirt soaked with blood on the left side. In the video, taken with her phone, she says they were pulled over at Larpenteur Avenue and Fry Street for a broken taillight.

It does appear to be right hand steering, but I am confident the BF was literally leaning over on the driver, pushing her towards or up against the driver door, and the cheap cell lens is deceiving.

Time will tell and resolve some of the questions. My son lived in Minneapolis for a year...I was so glad when he moved...I did not like that area at all even tho his neighborhood seemed like a nice safe area

Those are your words, not mine. So you must be the one assuming that. I never suggested, implied or assigned guilt to the LEO or the passenger BF.

Consider suddenly 4 rounds being shot into your vehicle, striking and killing the passenger right next to you. That might have a tendency to put some folks, especially a females, into a bit of shock.
She’s in major shock right there... have a heart. Pretty traumatic, no?
She livestreamed it on Facebook so there were dozens of people watching as it unfolded. That’s why she gives her location, asking people to come to where she’s at once they put her in the back of the police car with her daughter (who was in the backseat).
Lavish said her boyfriend had a CC permit and told the officer, who advised him to keep his hands in sight - and the boyfriend immediately started doing something with his hands other than what was directed by officer.
Crazy bizarre that she’d go live while her boyfriend died next to her (which she does acknowledge that he may be “going out” on her “RIGHT NOW!”.
I was amazed to see when tuning in to her actual live stream, the officer standing at the passenger window pointing his gun, after shooting the boyfriend - while Lavish narrated what was going on. Alternating talking to the audience, then the officer, then her boyfriend — I know many ppl thought it was a joke.
No, the female said the LEO asked for his ID and registration. According the the female, it sounds like he was reaching for his ID and that might be when the shooting occurred. Remember, if the female is correct, they were simply pulled over for a tail light infraction. Sounds like the LEOs weapon came out in a split second and possibly while he was reaching for his ID while telling the cop he had a weapon/permit.
There should be audio/video from the cop. We’ll see.
Social media and the people who participate in it make it possible for life to imitate art and for art to imitate life all at the same time and sometimes they cancel each other out. I believe it is a harbinger of things to come.
The pot would not have been discovered until after the LEO shot him. Remember, this was allegedly a stop for a tail light infraction. Not some major felony stop involving suspected big league drug dealers.
If the cops produce audio of the cop repeatedly saying “don’t move, keep your hands up” up before firing, then that would likely close this case. If not, who knows.
After a couple of video reviews, it appears she had her hands up while still holding on to her cell. In the big city, they tell her to drop it, or shoot her if she didn’t empty her hands. Then they cuff her and put her into the back of unit and she still has her cell on and is still broadcasting? Wowza.
That’s no bueno.
In New America, you have to give the police a good reason NOT to shoot you.
The media do not have a thing. They have an agenda. They pursue it 24/7/365. If an event or incident furthers their agenda, they cover it 24/7. If an incident or event does not further their agenda, they totally ignore it. Their agenda? The destruction of the United States of America.
I’m not going to hold that against her. I don’t think she realized at first it was a mortal shot. Plus there was a small child in the car. The officer also seemed off the stress scale and was still on the trigger, so keeping a calm low voice is better for everyone. Freakout is for when it’s over. She did a good job staying alive.
Being a CC holder shouldn’t be automatic grounds to get dead. There’s got to be a way to handle encountering CCers in a manner where the officer feels safe and the CCers feel safe. It’s just crazy to be killing friendlies..
You mean there is someone else who may have executed the guy?
