Presidents and Vice Presidents rarely are clones of one another. Historically. Desire for 100% congruence here is going to get us all killed. The meme about Trump being off-key on one issue or another and therefore unacceptable so the conservatives say they will stay home and not vote because he isn’t their perfect candidate. OMG.
Why would you want a veep w opposing viewpoints?? If as POTUS you leave, die, or whatever, you would want your successor to carry on with your agenda and interest in how the nation should be directed, no?
“...Donald Trump values your opinion and looks to online surveys like Newsmax’s...”
Trump likes to know what people are thinking, but Donald trump will make his OWN choice for VP...I seriously doubt he would make a pick from some such poll...LOL
Besides, this looks more like click bait for NEWSMAX...
Gary Sinise. Go full outsider.
I thought highly of Cotton until he attended the island meeting in SC and the Romney meeting in Utah.
That marks him as not on the side of the citizens and the rule of law.
That marks him as siding with the Cheap Labor Express, fraudulently documented foreigners and their employers.
Sarah!
Not one person on the planet knows all things and when you surround yourself with people who think identical to you, ideas come up short. Both men would complement each other and once a decision was made, LtCol West would be his strongest supporter in public but only after a serious debate in private. The Donald would have respect for LtCol West because of his service and track record. As VP, he would not be swayed on anything that would violate the Constitution and would thus keep the Donald on an even keel.
This list is good. Add Cotton to it as well.
Will be solid.
Of course if Trump picks Chuck Norris - total win!
re: Tom Cotton. Yes, his connection to the creepy Illuminati types is disturbing. But he hasn’t been hostile or a total fool like most of the Romney bootlickers. That’s why I’m wondering if he could be successfully mentored by Trump.
Please please not Krispy Kreme! please Donald please don’t select anyone from the establishment. Let it be a fantastic unknown .. Preferably a female Hispanic , Asian or Black but not from the establishment. Don’t slit your throat!
Sessions is the most obvious choice.
Brewer could be good.
Most of the others on this list would happily assassinate Trump.
Two who aren’t listed — Rand Paul and Jim Webb — would be better choices than most of these people.
Very smart! Wish I’d thought of that years ago!
I liked Tom Cotton, which is why I choose to think that he went to that meeting to glean information about the enemy.
NewsMax’s polls are just clickbait to collect one’s email address.
Depends on if I’m picking who would make the best VP or who would most help Trump win.
Best VP: Allen West
Best running mate: Ben Carson
Trump has stated that he wants someone who knows his way around Washington, i.e., with good connections on Capitol Hill, etc. He needs that kind of stability to attract undecideds. That’s why Sessions.
Any General or Admiral that Obama dumped that worked in Intel and Ops.
you prefer pandering?
